Resumen del Editor

A New York Times best-selling audiobook

This program is read by the author.

For those who witnessed the global collapse of socialism, its resurrection in the 21st century comes as a surprise, even a shock. How can socialism work now when it has never worked before?

In this path-breaking audiobook, best-selling author Dinesh D’Souza argues that the socialism advanced today by the likes of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Bernie Sanders, Ilhan Omar, and Elizabeth Warren is very different from the socialism of Lenin, Mao, and Castro. It is “identity socialism”, a marriage between classic socialism and identity politics. America’s typical socialist is not a working-class union man but a Black Lives Matter activist, a transgender militant, or a prophet of environmental apocalypse. Today’s socialists claim to model themselves not on Mao’s Great Leap Forward or even Venezuelan socialism but rather on the “socialism that works” in Scandinavian countries like Norway and Sweden.

This is the new face of socialism that D’Souza confronts and decisively refutes with his trademark incisiveness, wit, and originality. He shows how socialism abandoned the working class and found new recruits by drawing on the resentments of race, gender, and sexual orientation. He reveals how it uses the Venezuelan, not the Scandinavian, formula. D’Souza chillingly documents the full range of lawless, gangster, and authoritarian tendencies that they have adopted.

The United States of Socialism is an informative, provocative, and thrilling exposé not merely of the ideas, but also the tactics of the socialist left. In making the moral case for entrepreneurs and the free market, the author portrays President Trump as the exemplar of capitalism and also the most effective political leader of the battle against socialism. He shows how we can help Trump defeat the socialist menace.

Great read

Once again Mr. D'Souza delivers a well written and informative book. He goes above and beyond rooting out corruption with facts. I appreciate the honesty that goes into each book he has written. Will continue to purchase every book written by this author.

Almost Brilliant

Dinesh does an outstanding summation of where we are today with progressives all around us; in the media, political arena, the universities and our culture. His understanding and explaining the deep state is revealing, enlightening and disconcerting for any patriotic American. It’s very present, compelling and encouraging to know that we still have an opportunity to squelch the msm, take our universities back from the Marxist, and put an end to socialism myths. And for the good of our children and their children. One regret for Dinesh, his Lincoln statements lack a true historical understanding of who Lincoln really was which plays into the ongoing narrative of the righteous north and the demon south within our country. The good people of the South didn’t start that most horrible war. Lincoln was no great leader but an empire builder, a dishonest politician. I believe Dinesh just chooses the easy deification of Lincoln route on that part of America’s history. Of course, the winner writes the account and that’s what Dinesh has been taught. Take the Lincoln out of his book, and it’s a 100% win for good American patriots.

Must Read

Wonderful book on the truth about the Democrats and their socialist agenda for America. They are out, not only, to take over, but they also want to destroy the Nation and remake it into a socialist society.

powerfully on point!

I wish, that at some point, holes could be poked in this very daunting narrative of our country and the truly maddening reality we are now in. all that is presented in this book is spot on and leaves an undeniable reality, that somehow we must find a way to stop what appears a certain march towards a permanent and unreversible future. I have already suggested this read to many friends and some family. this book is a must read!

All lovers of America need to read this book.

Dinesh, as usual, does a brilliant job of showing the tactics of the Marxist left and the deep state against freedom and democracy. He explains how they use our better natures and love of peace against us. If those of us who love freedom don't start fighting back, we'll have lost all hope. Please read this and share it.
