This was an immensely great life story and it was well narrated! The main characters were well developed and you feel their emotions.

So wonderful!

For anyone who believes, or wants to believe in fate and true love. This turned out to be a special and transporting listen. The reader does a pretty good job too distinguishing between the voices of the different characters and between their older and younger selves 👍

Very entertaining!

I liked the book, but I do wish for an extension on the ending. It was like the author had to be somewhere, so she quit.
It was a (HEA) which was excellent, but a novel has to be excellent to make it an overall five-star! It is definitely worth the credit, tho! There could be a story behind this one. Then she could give us an update on the main characters... all is forgiven.

Always down for an African Story

Loved the complexity of their love story, bit too complex at times but, kept me wanting for more. African stories just warm my heart and have a lovely familiarity about them.

Beautiful story

I enjoyed the author's storytelling. This novel was captivating. I felt so many emotions while listening to the story. It was a beautiful story! The narrator was great, as well.

Great stories - lots of twists and turns

I have to say that usually, I don’t enjoy single narrator stories. However this story is so captivating that I got past my bias and was able to appreciate this unexpected and surprising love story.

I’m looking forward to the continuation of this unconventional yet refreshing love story. I’d love to see how her mom finds resolution with her own past as well. Very well done.
