Another great book in a really good series!

I was so lucky to be able to sit down last night and listen to "When The Cat's Away", by Austin Bates and Narrated by Mr. Dubois. In listening to this book, I found it to be so much in depth and personal. I felt like I was right their in the story, Mr. Dubois has a way of pulling the listener into the book and before you know it your right their along with Andre and Jude and everyone else feeling the angst, the joys, the sorrows, etc. For this listener/reader I was completely blown away! If you get the opportunity to sit down and listen to this book, please take it, you will not be disappointed! An avid reader/listener in Rock Tavern, NY.

Really enjoyable story, well written with fun and laughs along the way to an HEA. I love the MCs journey and found Guillaume’s voice very smooth and easy to listen to. Awesome story thank you, I cannot wait for the next one

Love this series! Great book! Like usual the writing was good. The beginning was sad but made you want to know more. I loved how Jude was willing to do anything to get Andre back. The narration was good, and I enjoyed listening to this book. Ready for the next one!

The Sunnydale vets number 6 is a good read The audio iwas hard to listen to until I got used to narrator.I would recommend this audio to any one that has enjoyed the read.

Jude and Andre have been a couple for six years. But one day Jude has a large melt down at their local Farmer's Market. He breaks up with Andre and then leaves town. He's going for two years. He finally decided it's time to head home. His biggest concern is to find out if the love of his life that he do publicly humiliated is still around and single it if he's moved on. When Andre see that Jude has returned he is shocked and didn't know how to react. It's an uphill battle for both to come to terms with the past to try to move on to a future.
Guillaume Dubois brings life to each of the characters.

The story was so sweet. I love how they were high school sweet hearts that broke up and then got back together. I love how they did everything at the farmers market.

Second Chances

Jude felt trapped in his life and abandoned everything and everyone , including Andre. Now Jude is back after realizing what a mistake he made and wants his life back, especially Andre. I admire Jude's willingness to do whatever it takes to prove to Andre that he's here to stay. I also admire how loving and forgiving Andre is, he is incredibly understanding.. Jude and Andre are a beautiful couple and I loved taking this journey with them through the ups and downs and especially to their HEA! The narrator did a great portrayal of the characters and interpretation of the story. I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy of this audiobook.

The Weight of Expectations

Family expectations can be a heavy burden, especially for a teenager. Teen years are usually for exploration, trying new things, having adventures. When your family expects you to take over the family business right out of high school, and your boyfriend is expecting a marriage proposal, life can become overwhelming. Especially when you want none of those things.

Jude breaks up with his boyfriend in a public venue, leaving Andre embarrassed and shocked. There is not an opportunity to talk things over as Jude packs up his vehicle, and heads for California. He doesn't call, or write, or text. Andre is out of his life forever.

How do you come back home when you've shut your family out of your life? After living on his own for a few years, Jude recognizes the mistakes he's made, and wants another chance at the life he left behind. Will his family forgive him? Will Andre forgive him? Can Jude rebuild a life with good relationships with those he left? Is it too late for love?

This is a story about family expectations, love, caring, and a wonderful HEA.

Narrator Guillaume Dubois does a great job with the characters, giving Sunny a bit of a sing-song lilt. It's really cute. After all, Sunny and Dale deserve their own spotlights in the Sunnydale Vets series.

I loved the story plot. Forgiveness and love tangled together. Wonderful and well read.
