Publisher's summary

The Guardians of Eternity are facing a final battle to save their world - but battles of the heart may be the most difficult to fight....

Cyn, the vampire clan chief of Ireland, is an unabashed hedonist whose beauty is surpassed only by his insatiable appetite for pleasure. It's no wonder he's furious when he's transported from the magical land of the pure-blooded feys to his desolate medieval castle - only to have his very existence thrown into a chaos that even he cannot charm his way out of.

Most women may be all but powerless against Cyn, but Fallon, a sharp-witted fairy princess, is less than beguiled by the silver-tongued vampire. She's a serious soul with no time for the sort of games he plays - especially when they learn that someone is trying to close the veil that separates the dimensions. But seduction may prove the most powerful force of all, as attraction ignites between the unlikely pair even as worlds are colliding around them...

Contains mature themes.

Great book horrible narrator.

i love this series have fallen in love with all the characters due to the authors ability to give each and everyone depth and an endearing quality. The first 10 books were captivating and i actually laughed out loud and cried at times. and that was all due to the narrator.
I was so excited to continue listening and bought book 11 And was so disappointed when it was a new narrator i had to stop listening for awhile and then go back because of her inability to show emotions or feeling in her readings i hardly ever take breaks while im engrossed in a book, but i finished it feeling like i lost my connection with the characters. I went ahead a bought book 12 thinking maybe the narrator just had to find her groove nope not the case in my opinion i think this narrator should only narrate instruction manuals i do have to give her credit for some of the voices but the over all feel of the books now are like i said instructional. Im a die hard tho so I will continue to listen to the rest of the series here but am extremely dissatisfied with the tone the narrator uses.

The narrator ruined the story for me

Guardians of Eternity #12
When Darkness Ends by :Alexandra Ivy
Double the romance… Double the fun… But not double the pages. Somehow I feel like I got cheated.

The four stars that I gave this book are strictly for the author and the story she created.

Only one of those four stars is for the narrator. I will never, ever, understand why any author/publisher would okay a narrator change this far into the series. But if there has to be a narrator change due to circumstances beyond your control, I would think that the author/publisher would at least try get someone similar, who pronounces things the same way and tries to use the same style as the original narrator. Tanya Eby has now done 2 books from this series, #11 & #12 and I have to say that she is so bad compared to the original narrator that I’m done with this series on Audible. If I read any more of this series, it will be the old-fashioned way… On Kindle.

Okay so Kindle isn’t old-fashioned, but for someone who prefers audiobooks to reading something herself, Kindle is the epitome of old-fashioned. I’d also like to add that I am so disappointed by this change that I have no desire to continue this series any further. This book was very much like an end, because it was an end for that publisher, but I’m just going to see it as an end and be done.
