Not Lovely Bones thank goodness!

It took me a bit to really get into the story bc of the slowness of the narration so I sped it it up just a hair and I was able to lose myself in the story. The ending g is not what I entirely expected and left me mildly disappointed, but that's bc I was hoping for my kind of closure and not the author's. I'm glad I didn't listen to the reviews that panned the book bc it is now one of my favorites.

perhaps my favorite audiobook so far

I really loved this book. the writing is superb. I wish this author had other books of hers that I could read but this is her first. I believe this would make a great movie due to its complex nature and vivid writing. The story is very intriguing, captivating in it's able to bring fiction to life. The story was complex, mysterious, and fast paced. I love great stories.. small, magical packages that transport us to another world, enabling us to go places and meet people and experience situations that we would never be able to do in real life.

Obsessed

It’s been months and I keep coming back to this book. Hamilton creates one of those rare book worlds that embraces you and makes you feel a sense of nostalgia and safety while the plot makes you lean in. The writing is superb!

So many twists and turns

This is my first book with auditable and I was hooked. Left me on the edge and constantly wondering what will happen next.

This book is incredible

This one is moody, dramatic, and beautifully written. The way she describes and captures emotion is captivating. The story is gut retching and full of twists. I was finding every excuse to drive around so that I could listen to this. I have a book hangover now and this will forever be one of my favorite books. I can’t wait to see what else comes from this author!

I liked this one

I grew up on an island, and this book definitely had the island vibe of cottages and boats and townies vs outsiders. I lost myself in it a few times. Some minor things here and there, but overall a good story.
