Hope Rising from Horror

As with all of Rita's books, the description is never adequate enough to portray the layers of understanding she possesses of human relationships. This story is not only a haunting reminder of one of the worst days most of us can recall, but it also poignantly reminds us of a time when our country was actually a United States. I've anticipated this release for a long time, and it absolutely fulfilled all of my expectations and more. The story is told from the viewpoint of each woman in the story based on where they were during the attack- from watching at home on TV, to seeing it happen right outside before going into one of the towers, to being inside of the towers on the upper floors. I have already started it over to be able to hear more things I missed. If you need a dose of hope in humanity, this book is for you! Rita has a true gift of understanding people and I give this book my highest rating.
