Publisher's summary

His second chance at love needs a holiday miracle.

Becoming a werewolf messed up Gunner's plans for the future. He'd pictured getting married to his high school sweetheart, popping out a few kids, and growing old and chunky, loved by his family.

In reality, he went to war, got bitten, became a werewolf, and ditched his past, including his fiancee because he's convinced he can't have a normal life. Or so he thinks.

Seeing his Lycan brothers finding their happily ever after has given him hope. Maybe if he's willing to try, he can have a second chance.

Nope. Kylie isn't interested. As far as she's concerned, he messed up big time and she's moved on. Luckily for Gunner, fate intervenes, and when danger threatens, Kylie has only one person to turn to. One man she can trust.

Can this lone wolf save Christmas?

Contains mature themes.

Great Christmas Story

Loved this story. Gunner deserved his HEA and so did Kylie. Her daughter stole the show though. Adorable kid who is too observant and smarter than adults give her credit for being. I adored her. Gunner is one of my favorites in this series. I felt this book did him justice. I think this whole series is a new favorite by Eve Langlais for me. Just enjoyable enough to knock FUC off the top spot. If you like lighthearted humor mixed with serious villains and lycans with an occasional vampire in the mix, don’t hesitate on this series! So fun and satisfying.

2nd chance romance amid child custody drama

This was 90% domestic drama about Kaylie’s issues with her ex-husband, their little girl, her poverty filled life, her deadbeat dad, her selfish mom, and last, her loss of her first love Gunner. Then there was 9% about her and Gunner reconnecting, mostly through him stepping in and being a great guy (handyman, buyer of stuff, protector against jerks). Finally, there was 1% about the escaped villain from the previous novella popping in to monologue and then get defeated in seconds.

I get that holiday themed romances are overstuffed with treacle.
I just wanted action, comedy, and shifter stuff to go with it.

Minor annoyance: what is with the love for the phrase “nether lips”? Ick
Major annoyance: Gunner is voiced like a gangly teenager, which sapped all the sexy.
