Publisher's Summary

Being a great first-time dad doesn’t mean being perfect. It means having the tools you need to be a supportive partner during and after pregnancy - which is exactly what We’re Pregnant! The First-Time Dad’s Pregnancy Handbook is all about.

From heartburn and headaches to birth and breastfeeding, We’re Pregnant! features practical, action-oriented pregnancy advice from the author of the Dad or Alive blog, Adrian Kulp, a (once clueless) dad who’s been there and done that - three times, in fact!

We’re Pregnant! addresses and alleviates the stress first-time dads face through candid pregnancy guidance, including:

  • Week-specific pregnancy milestones so you’re not left wondering what’s happening, what’s going to happen, or what you should be doing during the pregnancy
  • Practical suggestions for supporting your partner’s changing needs during pregnancy and thereafter
  • Action-oriented goals that will support baby’s development, mom’s pregnancy experience, and the wellbeing of your relationship
  • Up-to-date information on “The Fourth Trimester” so you’re as prepared for the first months of baby’s life as you were during pregnancy

We’re Pregnant! delivers real-world pregnancy advice with a humorous tone that will get first-time dads ready, willing, and able to carry their portion of the pregnancy weight….pickles and ice cream not included.

PLEASE NOTE: When you purchase this title, a PDF of reference material not included in the narration will be available in your Audible Library along with the audio.

Just awful

I got this book for audible so I could listen to it on my way into work. Im 1/3rd into the book and I cannot listen to this anymore.
This book will be great for you if you love L.A. pop culture, a never ending ballet of movie references and quotes, you have never lived with anyone before or are completely self centered and need a coming of christ moment about being there for your spouse.
This guy is some L.A. big shot who sounds like he has never been a very supportive husband to his wife, not to mention sounds like he doesn't even cook or clean for himself. He jokes around about making the minimum effort, throws in a terrible movie reference and thinks he is an amazing husband.
Completely unrelateble, very scaddered and a majority of the writing is nonsense with some tid bits of information.
Most of the important information that is given to you, you could get summed up in an hour or two of reserch on the internet by typing in "First time pregnancy".

Not for nervous future dads

While this book might be OK for future fathers that are excited about having a child, it does NOTHING to calm the fears of future dads that are anxious about having a child. The focus of the book is not on the father but on the mom (which is all well and good if that’s what you’re seeking to understand), but for me, having read other books that focus on understanding the mother, i was looking for something that would help my anxieties as a future father. This book did the complete opposite: it increases the level of anxiety for dads that are anxious about having a child. I also just don’t relate to things the author gets excited about: like big announcements on social media or elaborate gender reveal parties. Not for me.

Just okay

I think this book requires a physical copy, so you can take notes or ear mark certain things. The content is decent and explained in humorous ways, explanations are clear and concise.

This is my first time expecting and first time reading one of these books, I think it’s a good book to start with.

Great Book

I really enjoyed this book. Very practical and I especially enjoyed the mom and baby “stats”.

Excellent Book

This was a great read. I gained a lot of insight into something I will be going through for the first time. I would recommend this for any first time parent. My wife even ended up reading it because she like it as well.

Like reading a pregnancy forum

Little essence, if any at all. I suppose target group should be high school kids at best.
