Horse hockey!

This stuff is ridiculous.

Go see a doctor who specialises in bariatric medicine. Don’t buy into what new age salesman like this guy are selling. This guy ain’t no doctor.

Pleasantly Surprised

I was pretty sure this book was going to be a disappointment. Its so short, I didn't think it would be able to help me in any way. Boy was I WRONG! I was surprised at how much I got out of this short and sweet little book! If you're feeling overwhelmed and unmotivated with what all you have to do to lose weight.... this book is perfect for you!

Short, Sweet, and To The Point

This isn't your typical "don't eat this" book. It offers skills and advice on how to take your life into your own hands, all of which is applicable to more than just dieting and weight loss. I like that it's so short and and succinct - I'll be listening to it again whenever I need a reminder of what drives me and what changes I can and want to make.

This is short and sweet

if you want a quick motivational nugget this is good.

I recommend however; another book by Derrick, 50 FITNESS TIPS YOU WISH YOU KNEW.

That book is much more comprehensive and includes everything in this book. It will leave a much larger impact on your mindset to motivate you. He includes many recommendations to other books that have greatly impacted him. Many of his tips are founded in science which makes them a no brainer verses personal theories.

Keep this book for a quick listen
But go get

Good, down to earth information

This is my first review. I downloaded this audiobook because of the high ratings and the shortened time (to fit a specific time slot in my day for multiple listenings). I am very pleased with the amount of common sense, no brainer information that is delivered in a short time. I appreciate the information delivered in layman's terminology (everyday language), straightforward manner and without the hokey ocean sounds, birdsong or "soothing" voice that is akin to a kindergarten teacher. A prior Comment referred to "commercials" for other products when actually the author gives direction to additional information if desired. I highly recommend this book.

this is great, the best thing I've listened to to motivate me. really helpful tips to get you started, and makes the first step in my weight loss journey seem so much easier than I first thought. definitely worth having a listen if you're serious about making changes. highly recommend.

Solid tips but nothing new

Enjoyed the conciseness of this book and Co. Boned a lot of mindset tips from. Other good books I've read. There is definitely something for shorter books where you can take the tips and go action, as opposed to being bombarded for 7 hours and doing little after.

As always you have to action the steps you feel are beneficial it won't just happen! If you read a lot of improvement and mindset books you'll. Unlikely take much but if you don't this is a good resource

A good place to start

Initially, Derek’s enthusiasm comes over a little shouty, but after a few minutes you can hear that it is compassion. This book provides stepping stones which can be taken further via websites. I need to re-listen to jot down the 7 hacks, what I initially took away was: go easy on yourself, small steps to start, persevere with those steps and find enjoyable exercises/foods.
