great book. not great narration.

I don't care for this narrator. his voices aren't very distincive and he mixes them often. I know that is tricky but even his inflection, tone, & emphasis is off.
I spent the money on the audio book and now I want to read it myself so I feel like I get a better picture. that's annoying.
I really enjoyed Shannon Gunn in the Temptation series. he has his own issues but overall he paints a wonderful picture with his voice.

This series is just ok

This series is Not worth the credits in my opinion. If you really want a great series by the same Author try the “Try series” by Ella Frank.

Great story but a bit disappointed

I am absolutely in love with this series, but this installment left me feeling a little frustrated. *SPOILER ALERT *

I couldn’t believe that Brenda was allowed to win her little blackmail game. That fact alone almost had me stopping the story....it just didn’t seem fair to the MCS to have that happen. I’m not going to sit here and blow smoke and say that it didn’t ruin the story for me....it did. Having said that, it won’t stop me from reading more titles by Ella Frank because she definitely knows how to tell a good story.

Happily Ever After

Would you consider the audio edition of Wedlocked to be better than the print version?

The audio edition brings to life the characters appearing on paper. The individual voices of the different characters makes the story seem more real. Although the written word helps with the visualization it just not the same with voices of the characters in the story.

What did you like best about this story?

The story was essentially a reunion of all my favorite characters from the Locke, Temptation and Sunset Cove series. It was fun to catch up where they are now and there were links back to other books, for example the bow tie in Logan's drink mentioned in Ella Frank's book Tate.

Which scene was your favorite?

The best scene was the bachelor weekend in Cabo. It was funny and again showed how the different character's lives interleaved with one another. I really enjoyed Logan and Finley meeting up again.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The epilogue was the best but don't want to give it away since it would be a spoiler.

Any additional comments?

The voice performance was top notch. Charlie David does a great performance and the various voices from earlier series he read came through. Definitely a satisfying conclusion to the PresLocke series.

Story good - Narration Awful

I love to listen to books, especially when I’m traveling. I’ve had to stop listening when the narrators voice grates on me. In all fairness to the entire series, I adored the characters and have listened several times, but Charlie Davis cannot differentiate voices. The transition between characters was difficult to tell who was speaking. He just read most of it. Plus his pronunciations were abysmal. For example, figure was pronounce figger and orgy with soft g was spoken like orgy with a hard g. These are just two, but this happened throughout. I couldn’t tell the difference between Dylan and some of the female characters. And his foreign accents? These were embarrassing. He’s not a very good actor in general, but as a narrator, it’s just more of the same.

I love the authors in general, but the “stage” direction in this series had me ping ponging with confusion trying to visualize the scene. In my opinion, it’s not necessary to describe every action. Like: Ace turns away to walk out of the room and turns on his heels to face Dylan or the repetitive “ ache between my thighs”. Perhaps If I read them instead of listening, it would have been better.

Locke-Prescott

***Spoiler Alert***

This series was wonderful with the exception of Brenda being paid for not telling the world how she sold her young son to pedophiles!

Dylan was legally adopted due to Brenda’s abuse and neglect. There was a police report substantiating this case. This poor man (Dylan) was victimized twice by this wicked woman!

Ella and Brooke, a cease and desist order should have been issued to Brenda and the publishing company. Also, I would have loved to see a restraining/protective order established against Brenda!

Good story. Good narration.

Guess what this story is all about? The title isn't hiding anything. Yep, it's already time for Ace and Dylan to take that big step. I usually hate wedding stories, but these two authors kept up enough action and humor to offset the tedious descriptions of flowers and venues. I wouldn't have minded being part of the cake tasting though...

This book was a great conclusion to the series even if I wanted at least one of the characters to get a little bit more of a comeuppance. Sigh. Getting a chance to see other characters from Brooke and Ella's series was excellent compensation.

Once again the narration was entertaining.

I cried from the perfection

So I listened to most of this on the train to work. Most of it I spent laughing like a crazy person or sobbing hysterically. It's a good way to get a seat to yourself.

This book concludes Ace and Dylan's story so perfectly, with loose ends tied in a bow and a warm, fuzzy feeling in my heart.
