After a case of mistaken identity and an almost one-night stand, two stranded wedding guests have to find their way to their final destination together, in this riotously fun debut romance.

Ada’s little sister is getting married. Which should be a happy thought, right? But the once close sisters have been in a year long fight, the wedding is all the way in Ireland, and Ada is so broke that she just barely managed to get a ticket on a budget airline. And as if things couldn’t get worse, said airline just cancelled her connection. Which means Ada is stuck in London with no way to make it to the wedding.

Surely she’s hit rock bottom?

So, there’s no reason for her not to spill her heart out about the over-the-top wedding, her sister’s worryingly quick engagement, and the womanizing best man she’s dreading meeting to a handsome also-stranded stranger at the bar. Until she realizes the stranger is headed to the same wedding. Oh, and he’s the infamous best man.

Now, Jack and Ada must put their simmering attraction behind them to make it to Belfast before they miss the nuptials. But between flat tires, missed trains, and suspect hostels, Jack and Ada start to question whether their feelings are worth going the distance, or just a distracting detour along the way.

Predictable story of finding the bad boy, Mr. Wrong, and changing him to become your Prince Charming.

Predictable

I absolutely loved this, I replayed multiple scenes because they were were so brilliant. The humour was off the charts but there was also heart, hope and some real feet kicking moments!

DELIGHTFULLY FUNNY & SEXY

Slow burn romance with no angst or heartbreak. Feels like a Meg Ryan movie from the 90’s. Happy, fun, a little cheesy. Cute vibes.

Excellent, cute, uplifting

the plot

The narrator struck me as hyperactive for the first half of the book. later the story got more believable . Of course it had a sweet ending which is what romances are supposed to be about.

Cute Romance

This wasn’t bad but it was honestly eh. I had fun but I felt like something was missing. Good for a debut! Felt like a 2000s rom-com.

This was… alright

Loved the story and all the characters. Ada was my favorite character. I could relate to Ada in many ways. Narrator did a wonderful job. Would recommend reading this book and definitely rereading.

Loved it!

It felt like the author found a thesaurus and exhausted the ways to repeat the same lines over and over, it was hard to ignore even with great narration.

Good story but…

I really enjoyed this book! The voice pulled me in right away, and the pacing kept me hooked from start to finish. The chemistry between the main couple was fantastic.

That said, I do wish there had been just a few more pages showing their everyday life together at the end. Some of the character growth seemed to happen off-page, which made the resolution feel a little too easy. A slightly more grounded, down-to-earth glimpse of them as a couple would have been really satisfying.

Also, I couldn’t help but think how interesting it would be to read a story about Alison and Colin. We know they ended up married, but I’d love to see how their relationship evolved along the way.

Fantastic
