I loved the MMC but hated the fmc… insufferable and inconsiderate to those around her.

I loved this so much. It made me so happy and sad and filled with joy!

When Bennet loses the love of her life she is a shell of the person she once was. She’s messy and reclusive and depressed. She doesn’t see friends or family and she only goes to work and does nothing else. When her roommate sets her up on a dating profile, she gets a hit from a handsome guy who wants to take her out. However, she’s not really ready and ends up making a fool of herself. Henry, seeing her in distress takes pity on her and they start hanging out and trying to find Bennet’s passion again. With Henry, Bennet starts to feel like her old self again, but she worries she will sabotage herself into thinking she’s not ready for the future she really wants.

For one, I LOVED HENRY! He was the best! I mean these two were pretty funny together. The witty repartee was unmatched in this story, I mean I was cracking up on almost every page! This is my first read from London Sperry and it definitely won’t be my last. The way she makes you feel so much in this story, it was exactly what I needed!

Also, ALEX FINKE!!!!!!! She is such an amazing narrator! She really brings the story and the characters to life and I hope she keeps narrating, because I will listen to every single story she does!

So many ⭐️ for this wonderful story!!!

PP Review

Just finished Passion Project by London Sperry and it was such a heartfelt, refreshing surprise. It all starts with a dating app date gone completely wrong—and from that chaotic first encounter blooms something raw, real, and undeniably magnetic. The FMC isn’t ready for anything serious. She’s still healing, still searching for herself and her spark.

But when fate throws her back into the path of the man she ghosted, the story unfolds through a series of “non-dates” that are anything but meaningless. I loved watching her rediscover herself and slowly realize that maybe the thing she was running from was exactly what she needed.

It’s equal parts emotional growth and slow-burn romance, with just the right amount of humor and spice. A beautiful reminder that sometimes love finds you when you stop searching for it.

which is very unfortunate and disappointing…. expected so much from this book. good thing alex finke carried it, or else i wouldn’t have been able to tolerate or bear it till the end

This was by far my FAVORITE Narrator. She expressed EVERYTHING in this book how my extremely emotional mind hears things! This book was so good too. For a debut I was thoroughly impressed. She did incredible capturing all the emotions, such as grief, panic, fear, and even love. I LOVED this book. I cried and laughed out loud. Can’t wait for her next book!
