Finding companionship in a savvy feral dog and an orphaned cheetah cub, she also discovers the wonder of the new wild, strength, and peace. Yet, she soon discovers that her world may need a lot more than a cure to a virus and she may not be the hero it needs.

Gripping story on a beautiful landscape

If you want to go on a journey of discovery, healing, with a dash of saving the world with incredible animal companions, this is the story for you. Well-acted, well-written, and thoroughly enjoyable until the very last moment. I can’t recommend this enough!

I never write reviews but this is my second one for this author, Rebecca O'Connor, and the reader, Danielle Rayne. This is an adventure story that activates your imagination. It is the right balance of nature, relationships and environmental politics. Though it has a sci-fi undertone, having experienced the recent pandemic it has a very plausible feel. I like the way Rebecca writes and she has selected the perfect reader for her words
