Publisher's Summary

Why would I want to be married to an alien?

I should not have applied to TerraMates! The idea was crazy. I'm a young woman, in the prime of my life.

But I was desperate.

When I landed on another world, his appearance intrigued me. He dripped sexuality and moved like an animal. We have three days together before he sets sail without me. Am I going to escape or submit to my desires?

TerraMates ~ Great Series!

I enjoyed book two and three of the TerraMates series so much, I actually went back and listened to book one, Water World Warrior. After listening to the first three audiobooks in the series, book one was my favorite but this may change once the fourth audiobook is released.

I thought the plot moved at a steady pace, and enjoyed how main characters stories unfolded. Nathaniel and Ashlyn both find themselves in their own dire situations, and their only hope of getting out of it, is to enter the TerraMates program and get a wife/husband. Going into the arranged marriage, they each expected to get out of the contract at the end of the "trial period" by stating they were not happy, and planned on keeping their secretes; however, neither considered they would be actually be attracted to the other person. As the attraction and sexual tension grows between them, they let their guards down, and give into their desires for each other. However, as secretes are reveled, they start to suspect the worst of each other.

The dual narration rocked, and both Addison and Terrance did an amazing job. With dual m/f narrators, the parts of the story told from the male's POV you get a males voice, and when it switches to a females POV, you get a females voice, which I absolutely loved.

This is a series I was happy to add to my audiobook collection. I normally listen to a minimum of two audiobooks per week so I'm constantly on the lookout for new books or series. I would recommend this story and series to my friends and any Sci-Fi romance fan. It's definitely a quick listen.

Don't miss out on this great story!!!

Any additional comments?

Don’t let the title fool you! This was a great book! It was not some cheesy, unrealistic story but very engrossing and heartwarming while still taking you for a great journey! It had a bit of everything from addiction, loss, suffering, love, putting others before yourself to pirates, aliens, adventure on the high seas and of course steamy sex scenes all set in a believable new world where, just like the old west, potential wives are limited and mail order becomes necessary! I thought this story was so much fun and different from anything else I listened to before! I also loved that it was narrated by both a male and female, that always makes it a bit more fun to listen to! There were issues with the story line, with one major jump where you get lost and some loose ends that are not tied up that prevented me from giving this a 5 star rating but well worth the time!

Wonderful story

Would you consider the audio edition of Water World Warrior to be better than the print version?

I enjoy audio because i can listen to the story at work.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Water World Warrior?

When they both realized they were both i love with each other.

Have you listened to any of Addison Spear and Terrance Bayes ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have never listen to a book with these narrators but i think they were both great. They brought to life each character they did.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I loved the part where she realized the dress she had been making was for her.

Any additional comments?

I received this book as a gift for an honest review. I enjoyed this book. It had action and romance and i look forward to listening/reading more of them. I have always loved Robinhood type stories and this reminded of that. He was stealing but for a righteous cause. I would them book and this series.

eh ok anglo earth girl falls for alien rich pirate

OK story of mail order earth female (anglo) needed money. Falls for a rich alien pirate needed to prove to his worlds authority that he was a changed up standing citizen by getting married quickly. Both characters meet for the first time & are attracted to each other but he is determined to get throgh the fake marriage & finish his "mission". This is the 1st story from terra mates mail order brides & the handsome aliens men from a water planet with ability to breath under water & swim faster than earthlings. Cute story. Flip a coin to buy but, once you listen/read the first book you might want to read/listen to the rest.

Great story

Really enjoyed the audio version of this book. Great story line and well rounded characters. The narration is well done and, as the story is told from male/female perspective, I do like having two narrators. Addison Spear and Terrance Bayes do a great job bringing Ashlyn and Nathaniel to life.
I look forward to more in this series. Good job, Ms. Lace

holy hotness

this story has some serious steam going on! I love the fact that they don't jump in to sex right away, but build up some major attraction first. the storyline is good, there were only a couple of words during the sex scenes that were a little eh, and the plot really had my attention. in all a highly enjoyable, wet, and hot book.

Pirates, scientists and love

The first in the Terra Mates series is a fun, easy listening audiobook. Due to family complications, Ashlyn ends up traversing the galaxy as a mail order bride in order to join Nathaniel, a renowned scientist and closet Robin Hood type pirate, on a world that is slowly sinking below the oceans waves. A seamstress/scientist paired with a pirate/scientist makes for a light weight, enjoyable tale, but as to why the reduction in landmass was such a big problem for an aquatic populous was not really made clear in the story. The duel narrators generally did a good job enhancing the story but I did find the female a little grating at times. If you are looking for a light, relaxing story with a HEA ending then this is the one for you. I received this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

Great Start to a Fun Series!

I have enjoyed many stories from this series before going back and listening to book one.

Nathaniel and Ashlyn both sign up with TerraMates because they find themselves in trouble and signing up was pretty much the only option available to solve their problems. They both enter into it with the intent of dissolving the marriage in a year but what they did not expect was to be attracted to each other and eventually falling for each other.

I enjoyed the dual narration. Both narrators did a great job bringing the story to life. The story is told in dual POV and having a male & female voices definitely enhances the experience.

Hard Pass

This was.... painful to listen to. First, this doesn't reas like an "Alien" world. It reads more like someone wanted to write an entire world about the movie Waterworld and try to make it seem original. Yeah...... no. So Ash is sent to this Alien world completely able to understand their language because, of course, everyone speaks perfect English including slang *insert eye roll". Also, call me crazy but Nathaniel for an alien name..... good grief, it just gets worse. The sex scenes are like losing your virginity. Painful, a bit rushed, underwhelming and so unsatisfactory you're left wondering what the fuss is all about. What else....Oh! The male narrator is ok but the female voice is annoying which isn't helped by the fact she's reading a bad book. Frankly, I'm glad it's part of the romance package because if I'd wasted a credit on this book, I would've been pissed. If you're looking for a good series to start, I wouldn't recommend this one at all! Maybe the second book might be a better place to start but I highly doubt it. Just keep looking. Nothing worth reading here.

Ahoy, Terra Matey!

I love paranormal romance. Give me vampires, shifters, witches, djinn, dragons, angels, etc., and I'm all over it. I can't imagine ever finding zombies sexy, and to be honest, I wasn't sure I was going to connect with the idea of aliens, but Lisa Lace made me love them. The story sucked me in from the beginning and held my attention and interest to the end. Ashlyn and Nathaniel have their own reasons for wanting a quickie marriage of convenience, and both think they'll suffer through it for a year and then divorce amicably, but were they ever wrong! Yes, this is a cute, sexy romance, but it's also an adventure, a character-driven drama and a fight for justice and a better world. I absolutely loved it!

All that AND an audio experience that brings the written word to life. Just awesome. The narration is great. Although both narrators performed both male and female voices well on their own, I really liked the dual narration of Addison Spear and Terrance Bayes. They made a great team, and I felt their performances complemented the material perfectly. I received this audiobook in exchange for an unbiased review.
