Publisher's summary

The truce between the vampires and the shifters is long over. So when the two factions stumble upon a lost fae warrior who has no idea what she is, all hell breaks loose.

Charity hasn't had it easy. Growing up in a bad part of Chicago, left by her mother at sixteen, she's a survivor. So when she gets a scholarship to a good college out in California, she thinks all her dreams have come true.

Instead, she falls head-first into a nightmare.

At a posh party she doesn't belong, she gets the shock of her life: vampires and shifters are real! Magic is real. And she is anything but a mundane poor kid just trying to make it.

Warrior runs in her blood. If only she knew how to use it.

Suddenly she is trapped between two magical superpowers—a cunning elder vampire who wishes to use her for her blood ties and maybe tie her to the bed, and a sexy alpha shifter who will protect her at all costs. Her life of surviving could've never prepared her for this. And if she doesn't learn to harness the fae magic running through her blood, she'll be imprisoned forever.

Performed by Jeri Marshall, Elena Anderson, Alexander Amado, Rayner Gabriel, Ian Putnam, Karenna Foley, Michael John Casey, Samantha Cooper, Robb Moreira, Amanda Forstrom, Drew Kopas, Alyssa Keegan, Renee Dorian, Julie Hoverson, Torian Brackett, Kevin Couto, Dawn Ursula, Cody Roberts, Lamont Ridgell, Ryan Carlo Dalusung, Matthew Bassett, Julienne Irons, and Ken Jackson.

Well done GraphicAudio

I have the original audiobooks narrated bt Nicole Poole, who does an EXCELLENT job! But I am REALLY enjoying the character portrayals in the GraphicAudio version.

Need the rest of these !

This book is fantastic ! I was almost turned away from this by a negative review. But I took a chance because I’ve LOVED this series narrated by Graphic Audio more than any other audible book. It’s ruined me for all other narrations. I can’t wait for the next ones and am super sad they aren’t finished yet. Please make more soon!

As for people who might be concerned by the other review left behind - this is a shifter romance. It involves an alpha werewolf. He is bossy and rude and he also apologizes at times…they also work off aggression with each other by fighting. There are dominance tropes. I personally don’t have any issue with the story. It’s made to be entertaining and hit certain tropes in the paranormal world. It does both well.

Exciting and fun

I loved this book! Wonderfully written actors were great I wasn’t the biggest fan of the natural mage part of the series so I’m very happy I was reenaged by this book can’t wait to see what happens with charity especially now that Reagan has been brought in she is definitely my favorite but I’m completely digging charity as well at this point! I’m so excited to see how everything comes together

The Original Audiobook Is Better

I've listened to the original audiobook and the entire series multiple time. This version is not hitting the mark like the other graphic audio books in this series.
The chemistry between Devon and Charity is not good. And their communication is borderline abusive. The original audiobook does not include Devon angrily cussing out Charity. Nor does it include him being so angry, hostile, and arrogant towards everone else. The voice actor playing Devon and the director got Devon all wrong.
I have 2 hours left in this adaption and am struggling to make it to the end. This is disappointing
