love k.f. breene & the narrator is amazing

I do enjoy the books set in this universe. pleased as punch to find a new one. Wish audible gave us a way to track our favorite authors or series so we know when the next book is available.

The narrator is one of my very favorite, she does a such a range and the variation of voices make characters instantly distinguishable from each other. I find that to be a rare gift.

No spoilers

I wanted to scream and throw a hissy fit at the ending. Then discovered book 2 comes out October 15th. So all better now the book isn't left on a cliffhanger per say it just leaves it where you know it will continue with chairety's story. Ms Breene has done yet another great story full of action, suspense, romance and light laughs. This story is built in the world of fire and ice series (Regan Somerset) Breene keeps building and growing that world she builds a world and characters that keep you coming back for more can't wait for the next book. Absolutely love Poole she makes a book pop and come to life she is the best narrator for books that have humor and serious situations. However
there are a few series Breene writes that tie to this world with some characters that make appearances you can start here and not be lost. Highly recommend all the series tied to this world I'm sure you will to.

Perfection

I crave more.... this is wonderful. It’s full of mystery and excitement. It builds the new series world and includes the foundation of previous books while still letting this be a standalone book. Pulling Vlad, Reagan, Roger and others in, it feels like home. You gotta get the audible version. It just brings the story to life. Nicole Poole is perfection. Can’t wait for book two to arrive. In the meantime, it’s time to re-read/re-listen the other DDNV books while I wait.

More for the young adult

another young adult book that is not marked that way, i am so sock of these young adult books that no one tells you its young adult until you start listening or reading. i love nicole poole and KF Breene's older titals but i see she is now she has turned her writing towards young adult's which is not a problem she is fantastic but not for an old chook like me :)

My kind of story!

Charity is a poor kid who has successfully made it to college through hard work and dedication. Unfortunately, things turn upside down when a party’s events unfold. The story is entertaining and interesting. The characters are believable and relatable. The biting and witty sarcasm is quite entertaining! The slow attraction simmer between Charity and Devon is appealing. I was really glad that Vlad, in all of his bastardized glory, made a bigger appearance in this book. His machinations are boundless. Some of the other DDVN characters have a small side part. The narrator did a great job! Looking forward to book 2!!

Cliffhanger

I usually wait until a series of books is completed before I start them. This book is exceptional and I couldn't put it down. Trouble is the story has stopped in the middle of the tale. :-(

Very enjoyable.

As with all the books in this series, it's really enjoyable. The only downsides are that occasionally Chastity reminded me strongly of the Ms. Breene's character, Penny Bristol (Natural Witch, Natural Mage, and Natural Dual-Mage). Then, in prior books in the series, Steve, the lion shifter, had an Australian accent, and he didn't in this book. I found this distracting. That being said, I will keep it in my library to listen to again.

One of the better books in this series...

While the story is damn good, Nicole Poole's voice is not designed to do male voices. It is absolutely grating. But it is still a decent performance and reading the book is so much better.

Sooo Amazing 😉!!!

This book was funny, action packed, sarcasm at its finest and so much more. It’s exactly what to expect from Mrs Breene writing which is the best kind of books. I can’t wait for Audible to get book 2 in this series. I also love that Regan and Penny made an appearance. Very excited for more and I Highly Recommend !!!

another great listen

another great book in this universe. really enjoy premises. clearly building to the next stage. hoping it all Carrie's on. the book is alittle grittier and slightly more adult themed. very much enjoyed. hoping the next few carry on in the same theme. maybe even getting alittle darker. fingers crossed. looking forward to them regardless.

Great series’s I would highly recommend

To begin with I thought the narrators voice was going to me fall asleep but as soon she got into the book she was amazing. The book itself is very funny with passive aggressive romance and the banter, and also kick-ass fight scenes. This book ticks all the boxes. I have purchased the second audiobook and can’t wait to start.

I cant get enough of this universe it's so amazing how separate yet interlocking it all becomes.

Nicole Poole is hilarious

If there's one magic combo, it's KF Breene & Nicole Poole. I have been going through other books/writers/narrators since my first audiobooks (Leveling Up series), and none has made me want to listen throughout the day like these Breene/Poole books. There's just something about Poole's delivery..

Great story series. you can read it, but really suggest you start with Reagans' story first, to get all the one liners! serious and funny at the same time. love Andy, you'll see why! enjoy

Why did it have to end? The story was really ramping up. Now I have to wait until next month before I can buy the next book and find out what happens.
