Slower than books before

Slower than books before. There was no real mystery. The story was more about the characters. Which was interesting but not as engaging.

Love it

I love the characters of this book. The male female partnership without the sexual tension is great. Each book gets better and better.

Good series, well paced to keep the plot moving

This author excels in many ways that puts her ahead of other "thriller" writers. This was an intricate plot with many facets, and as always all threads of the story were completed, without loose ends and unanswered questions. The movement doesn't digress unnecessarily and while past events play a strong role, it isn't handled with shifting time lines back and forth. It was good from start to finish. Along with all that the narration is a perfect fit.

I have noticed this author likes to teach us about diseases, especially earlier than normal onset, as it occurs in every single book, including her other series (Cavendish and Walker), replete with statistics about it, etc. Here it was front and center to the plot.

I'll keep reading her books, though, and look forward to the next book in the series if there will be one.

Good installment

The character development is hitting a stride. This a good advancement in the character development and a very interesting and complicated case.

The Hardest Part is Waiting!

Loved the story and the entire series! Can't wait for the next. I also loved the GC easter egg! JK's performance is amazing as usual! Well done!
