Publisher's Summary

For Hudson, the newly titled Viscount Stildon, moving to England from India where he was born and raised was already an arduous enough endeavor. When he learns the fate of the racing empire he inherited along with his title depends upon him getting in the good graces of another stable owner, he's even more at a loss.

The stable at the neighboring estate has been Miss Bianca Snowley's refuge for years, and when a strange man appears to be stealing the horses, she jumps to their protection without a second thought. Upon learning Hudson is actually the new owner, she can't help but be intrigued by the area's newest eligible bachelor.

Any thought of romance is quickly set aside, however, when Hudson proposes they work together to secure suitable spouses for each other. As their friendship grows, Hudson and Bianca begin to reconsider what they truly want in life. But will societal expectations and the weight of their responsibilities keep them from pursuing their true desires?

"A Fabulous Day for a Ride"

Horses, friendship, horrid step-mother, and a romance! This is such a fun start to a new series by Kristi Ann Hunter. (It is a complete story on its own.)
I felt so bad for Hudson. A terrible trip from India then a rather unfortunate meeting with his new neighbor, Miss Bianca Snowley. Seeing Bianca and Hudson become friends was delightful. Their decision to help each other doesn't work out as planned but it certainly was fun to listen to.
Ann Marie Gideon does a fantastic narration!
If you are a fan of this author, you will enjoy a few surprise appearances.

Great romance that keeps you guessing

While I think most of us read these books knowing exactly how they’re going to end, and we’re totally fine with that, I appreciated that this one did not follow the expected formula. There was enough going on so that you weren’t quite sure exactly which way things would go, which made it very interesting! There was also a little mysterious side story going on, that kept you coming back for more just so you could solve the mystery. Absolutely loved reading this book and enjoyed meeting these characters. Highly recommendg

Delightful

Another delightful story by Kristi Ann Hunter. I honestly have not read a story of hers yet I didn’t just completely draw me in to both the storyline and the characters themselves. This one had a slightly different feel to it with our main character/hero, Hunter, coming from India to claim his property and title and trying to figure out his way.…Including romantically.

Bianca, the Heroine of our story, seems to have set her heart on Hunter from the start, but soon begins to be the object of pursuit by other titled gentlemen. She has a nasty stepmother and yet rises above this to be I lovely, frank, intriguing and interesting character.

Aaron is also a main character in the story, being the illegitimate son of a gentleman — yet very much the gentleman himself. There is a hint of reconciliation near the end of the story and I greatly look forward to that and hope it’s part of the next book in the series which appears to be Aaron’s story. I love Aaron.

I also loved meeting other characters from his hunters previous stories… Every one of them a delight to catch up on, adding even greater depth to the story.

I should also say that the narration for the audible version of this book was also a five star performance. Again, I look forward to anything Miss Hunter writes and hope she will be writing for many years to come.

Fantastic Read!

Kristi Ann Hunter does it again. Her characters are rich and the plot engaging. I love that she continues in the same universe as her other series, it truly brings a sense of living breathing characters. Ann Marie Gideon also does an exceptional job with her performance she catches the nuances of the text and brings them forth for the listener. I eagerly await the next book in the series.

Brilliant story, terrible narration

Really enjoyed the story and the humour, but the narrationt was off - pronunciation of words like "particular", which is used in almost every sentence made me wince every time

wordy and trite

I like Hunter's writing and I really tried to like this.. but it was overly predictable, verbose and irritating in it s lack of depth and constant unnecessary conversations! sorry it was a definite no-go..
