Publisher's summary

A warrior traveling through time... A woman who is the key to preventing a nightmare future... Can the two of them alter the past in order to avert disaster? And will their love last when Harper has...vanished?

Harper Wilde is sitting on the beach, minding her own business, when a huge, muscular Kindred warrior with black hair and blazing white eyes demands that she accompany him into the future. Harper has no choice - she is dragged against her will into a dystopian nightmare - the world as it might become if something isn't changed.

And that something that needs changing is Harper herself.

As a ten'sora, she is of special interest to the Hive, an insectile race of beings bent on taking over the Earth. By using her, they can conquer both the Mother Ship and the human race. Unless Harper is altered so the Hive cannot make use of her, the grim future she finds herself in will become reality.

Shad is a Shadow Twin - a Kindred male destined always to walk alone with very little chance of forming a bond with a female. Yet, he alone is able to make use of the looper - a time travel device which allows him to move back and forth between the past and the future to try and save Harper. Falling in love with her isn't part of the plan, but the big Kindred can't help himself. But he knows he must put his feelings aside and do what is necessary to change the past...unless he wants the future to vanish forever.

Loved It

I loved Shad and Harper's story. it irked me that Harper pushed Shad further than he was ready to go sexually at one point (a bit version drapey in my opinion and was not a fan), but other than that one single scene, I very much liked this story and had been looking forward to it.

Time travel makes for an interesting read

I enjoyed this book because I liked the time travel loop concept. However, I wish the story had been longer and more to it and I prefer when Evangeline Anderson more deeply weaves the next book’s characters into the current book than in this one, but regardless it was an enjoyable story and preformed well by William Martin. I only wish William Martin didn’t whisper the characters thoughts so quietly. Regardless he did an excellent job.

Different and Interesting

This was a very interesting story; Evangeline has an imagination to think up these stories. The next story seems pretty interesting, I believe I already listened to this one…oops! The narrator did a good job; I wish we could get William and Mackenzie together to narrate books; l love Williams deep sexy voice; he sounds like Sam Elliott. On to another Kindred book!
