Publisher's summary

In the last few months, Peyton has solved multiple cases for the FBI, while Marco has learned to navigate his role as police captain. Navigating their personal relationship has proven more challenging, however.

Marco’s jealousy over Peyton’s newest friend, Mike, causes friction between them, but although he tries to curb it, he can’t deny a growing feeling that something isn’t right with this man.

As Peyton struggles to understand his obsession, she’s distracted by the cold case she’s pursuing. Before she and Tank can gain any traction, however, Radar’s wife provides the Ghost Squad with their latest mystery: vampires in Hollywood.

CAN'T GET ENOUGH

I love this series. All the Peyton Brooks are fantastic. Ghost Squad comes to Hollywood to investigate a model's death. Really clever involvement of the whole cast of friends from San Fran. It's keeping me curious with carry over mysteries. The particular mystery of this death is strangely timely in this time of #metoo. I felt like I was right there. Great work.

Loved This!

What a fantastic listen! There's a lot going on in this one - Peyton and Marco trying to work things out, a stalker coworker, a cold case and two active mysteries. The mysteries provided plenty of twists and had me guessing throughout. The characters were so realistic and likeable that I came to genuinely care about them. Abe is a hoot! It was also great to see Peyton reunited with her SFPD buddies. The story was well written, multi-faceted and humorous in all the right places. Kelley Hazen gave a terrific performance and each main character had a unique voice that was instantly recognizable. I had a great listening experience and would recommend it.

LA, BABY!

I loved this story! I'm glad Peyton and Marco are moving forward with where they are. I was really into the mystery and how it wound around with all the moving parts. It's fun to see all the characters in different roles. We see a different side of a lot of the regulars. It's really funny, too. I think that might be what I like best about this series. The mysteries are really solid but there is so much more then just that - in the relationships and the writing.

Vampires in Hollywood

The FBI’s latest case takes them to Hollywood. The Ghost Squad needs to enlist some help on this case... they need people to go undercover. I loved how Marco, Jake, and Abe were brought into this case!

I couldn’t imagine how, but these stories by M. L. Hamilton keep getting better and better. The characters are so well developed and the storylines are so involved. I’m totally invested.

Kelley Hazen delivered another fantastic performance. She obviously knows the characters very well and has a way with making sure their personalities shine through.

An Awesome Listen

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the narrator and found it very entertaining and intriguing. All the characters are very well written with interesting and unique personalities. The main characters are very likeable. It is fast paced as three mysteries are being investigated at the same time. If you like action with some humour, this series is perfect and the narration just adds to the enjoyment.

Vampires in Hollywood

VAMPIRES IN HOLLYWOOD, Peyton Brooks FBI Book 4,
by ML Hamilton

Payton and Marco are trying to work out personal problems, wĥile trying to find responsible person to a string of attacks and rapes of young women. Plenty of suspense, mystery, and romance with this crime solving crew. I really liked the note from the author at the end. The author gives good info.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. Kelley Hazen ability with multiple voices make the characters feel real.

AWESOME LISTEN CONTINUES

This series has all the components and this fourth book does not disappoint. Peyton and the Ghost Squad travel to LA undercover to investigate a murder. It's great dark fun the way the team takes on their various roles in the entertainment world to catch the villain. This is a creepy, eerie crime. And the back and forth from the victim alive then switching to the team trying to find her killer is really spell binding and also sad. As you see this person who you think is a stereotype become a real human being before your eyes. I was really touched a couple of times during the book. The author is taking us into real human depths and darknesses. I believe these characters, I care about them, I feel for them and I want to know what is going to happen next to them.

Darker story that gets you thinking

Would you listen to Vampires in Hollywood again? Why?

Yes. I really enjoyed the gang going to L.A. It's funny to see what they think about the whole Hollywood scene and how they immerse themselves in that environment to solve the case.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, as with all of Peyton's adventures. It's hard to press pause.
I am very intrigued by the storyline of Peyton and Mike. I am very curious about what will happen there.

Any additional comments?

This is one of the darker mysteries in the series, I think, but that's what makes it interesting. I love the parallel storytelling and the narrator makes it easy to follow both timelines. I found the story compelling and cinematographic. Sadly, I don't think it's farfetched at all. Once again the Hamilton-Hazen combination is a winner. I'm always anxious for the next installment of this wonderful series.

Nothing new

ML Hamilton is creating new plots, but the characters are a regurgitation. A ribbed sweater will be stretched across sholders, sandlewood cologne will be worn, bottom lips will be chewed on. I think the character arcs came and went in the first series of books. Kelley Hazen's depiction of some of the characters is hard to listen to.
