A good quick read but lacks world building

I was a little disappointed with the world building. The story relies on the reader/listener knowing something like 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' when it comes to what the MC is. It's a miracle she's still alive considering she got her golden letter proclaiming she was the slayer at they tender age of nine. She didn't have help, tutors, or resources. You don't even know who sent the letter, which honestly is so odd and flimsy. She just sneaked out of the house and killed adult vampires in the cemetery the night after receiving her letter. Which brings me to--she only hunts at the cemetery only. Why? We don't know why she hunts vampires or if she only hunts vampires. Or even if there are other paranormals. She senses things but we don't know if she senses non-humans or just evil. She knows about demons but how? Then she meets the three vampires and after very little thought, accepts their offer. Again, why? She's never crossed a vampire she hasn't killed, so as far as she knew all vampires are bad. It's like she's an automaton. she kills vampires because she's told to and doesn't have any opinions on what she does every night. Since there is a lack of world building there is no depth to the story, making the relationship between the slayer and vampires carry the story.

If you can suspend disbelief, what story there is was pretty good, but I felt as if it was cut off in the first third of a book just as the story was picking up steam. I kinda hate when a story is broken apart like this. The three vampires are distinct and it's easy to remember who is who. I wish she spent more quality time getting to know them because I had a hard time imagining they had anything more than just mutual like through sex. The narrator did an excellent job and I liked the distinctness between the characters' voices. Did the plot intrigue me enough to give the second book in the series a try? I don't know.

Vampire Slayer and the Vampires

The devil has chosen Belle, vampire slayer, to marry. He sends one of his minions to talk to her in the cemetery. Afterward, she meets three hot vampires who will come to her aid. Interesting since she is a vampire slayer and she ends up going to the vampires' house.

Melissa Schwarz is a really good voice actor. I thoroughly enjoyed her performance. I was given this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Enjoyed, but rather short

Reminiscent of the Anita Blake or Buffy the vampire slayer series. If hot vampires and slaying heroines are your thing this is a good series to get into. I wish it had been made into one book though.

Fantastic

This was a wonderful audiobook and looking forward to mote. There is action, adventure, entertainment, hotness with three 🦇. Narrator did a fantastic job also.

Twisted Delight

This was a great start to a fantastic series roll out the red carpet for this little gem this was one twisted delay that I thoroughly enjoyed every single dirty fantastic word can't wait for the next

SO so

I felt like it was a bit all over the place and had a lot of underline suggestions without every being clear.
And narrative had some repeats of sentences.
I’m a bit sad, I had hoped for so much more with this story.

Hot Vampires

I really enjoyed this one. I love a great vampire story. The hot meter was off the charts. I liked how she has special moments with each of them. The suspense was really intriguing and kept me so anxious to finish the story. This is the first in the series and I will definitely finish the series to see how things unfold. The narrator did a great job.

Love everything about it

I loved everything about this book. It was different than what I typically listen too. I really enjoyed the relationship Belle had with each vamp and look forward to reading more

short, but good

I liked the FMC and her attitude, and I'm really looking forward learning more about the boys.

An enjoyable story

I would have liked a little more of the romance between the characters but overall a well written story that I enjoyed.

Good if you like fast moving, short stories

This is a very fast moving, short story, personally for me it was too fast, the narrator did a good job though, if you like fast moving, short stories then I would recommend this, if you prefer a slow moving, more believable story then this isn't for you.

Marry the devil or die....

This book was a fast burn, reverse harem, with some very steamy scenes! I felt this was not a 'serious' paranormal romance but a very fun read with a lot of hot and heavy scenes, and an a@@-kicking heroine! The narrator Melissa Schwairy was a joy to listen to as always, I enjoyed this book and I'm looking forward to starting book 2.

This one is a really fun and cute listen the characters are entertaining and the narration was great. This is a series I can’t wait to finish

Good Start

This seemed like the perfect length for me. This is a new author to me and I really thought this first book in the series was cute, original and sexy. It's nice to read something different that still keeps your attention. Cool storyline and yummy hunks. Look forward to book 2! I thoroughly enjoyed the narrator!

Good storyline

This is an enjoyable book. Not very in depth so an easy listen for you to get lost in and escape reality. Great narration.

ok I think I've said it before that I'm not usually into paranormal romance but I heard people raving about this book so I had to give it a try and I'm so glad I did , I absolutely loved it , I think I'm converted .
what more can you want from a book than a vampire slayer and 3 sexy vamps trying to lure her to the 'dark side' the narrator was amazing too it felt like the scenes were playing out in front of you, it just sucked you in and kept you hooked the whole time
I cant wait to listen to the rest of the series.

Wow, this book was amazing, I've not read any by holly but I'll definitely be continuing this series.

hot sexy vampires, action and lust are all the things that make this book amazing. I've never devoured an audio so fast but I couldn't put it down.



melissa schwairy was a brilliant narrator and I hope shes in the rest, she brought the characters to life, she brought the emotional angst and lust to life.
