Another great DeMarco book

I enjoy the way the book is written and the way the characters are developed.

unusually mediocre for this excellent author

not as good as the others in this series. the previous 2 were great. this one has a boring plot, no nuanced humor, Mahoney is boring and really angry, Demarco is blah, the main topic wasnt interesting, the bad guys are also boring. obviously a fictional story based on the gross Epstein
debacle.
Emma and Neil characters were surprisingly flat.
i gave almost all of the others 5 stars and have reread often. not this one. i skipped some repetitive parts of it, but i did read til the end, hoping it would get better, it didnt.
narration is excellent as always.
this book was not fun to read, ending wasnt good,, this one is a radical departure from what came before in this series.

Great Characters Continued

Mike Lawson continues to keep richness in his characters, Joe, Mahoney, and Emma, while creating fun, fast paced stories. The ending was rather surprising.

I have completed all in this series and enjoyed them all. I love the characters and the DC happenings. NOW I can only wait for the next book.

This is the best Joe Demarco we’ve been blessed with…

This a more reflective Joe. He’s giving us more of glimpse of his father and their relationship. He’s reminiscing on the skills he learned from his father and perhaps what his father wanted to leave as a legacy to Joe.
As always Joe has tremendous respect and empathy for the folk he helps.
His compassion and caring is pushing Joe towards boundaries he’s always

Book was a good, fast pace page turner. Great characters who are driven to do the right thing.

What a bore

Loosely based on Trump screwing various women. I was tempted to return the book about four times, but I kept hoping the story would become more interesting. It didn't.
