Wow! Just wow!
I hope, with every fiber of my being, that this series continues for a long while. I see there is a second book and I’ve already purchased! Please please please keep these character going. I’m so invested in these characters, not just the main ones, either! And the narrator is perfect for this series. This is in my top five favorite audiobooks now. It had everything that I want in a book. And it just makes you feel so good inside! #witty #feelgood #lgbtqia #lesbian #romance #sweet #tagsgiving #sweepstakes

Mystery and romance
Great mystery with a little laughs and romance. I am a huge fan of Erik Schubach's work. His stories are great and he has a gift for finding the perfect narrator for each of his books. Claire Buchignani is new to me but I really enjoyed her narration. I'd highly recommend this book to anyone who likes romance or just like a cute funny story.

Nice slice of life, not really a mystery
So, this is a pretty tough one to review because if I were to go by the genre, it would be pretty low as it’s not a great mystery. There’s very little sleuthing involved, at least by the main character and most of the clues are just stumbled over. With the exception of a very...strange, to say the least, plot device at the climax, police do most of the crime solving off stage. Which actually makes for a nice, realistic, change for a mystery series.
This is much more of a slice of life story. Yes, there is a murder involved in the plot, but for the most part, the main character is treated as a witness and doesn’t actively participate in the investigation. The main plot mostly follows her trying to adjust to her new roommate, walking her dogs and questioning her own sexuality. Fair warning if that kind of thing doesn’t appeal to you. Personally, I picked the book because of the dog and the murder so the change of pace was a surprise. That being said, it is a nice slice of life. The main character is perky, slightly OCD and is well written enough to feel real. Her interactions with the supporting cast add a slight touch of comedy and the characters play well off her. It was enough for me to keep listening despite not getting the mystery story I was expecting. I’d recommend this one to people who don’t really want an in depth complicated whodunit but still want a little bit of mystery and character interaction.
