I told her one lie, though. I made her a promise I’m not sure I ever meant to keep. I told her I’d let her go once I had what I wanted.

But in a world of monsters, I need her like man needs air. And I have no intention of letting her go.

worth it

I absolutely loved it .... this was enjoyable... I typically dont like when the books are in two parts .. but it works... I did not once think about quitting....

I cannot with the woman’s voice.

I love these types of books, and I love Natasha! But the woman’s voice (Lisa something..) is so annoying. She whispers and tries so hard to make her voice low and sexy (I think?) and it just comes out as someone’s aunt who smokes 2 packs of cigarettes a day.
I really wish someone else would voice the female characters. She seems to have the same woman in every story 🫠
The guys voice was really soothing though.

#1 - Oooooh this was so good and hot! An abundance of secrets, mafia, sold, enemies, and age gap!
#2 - Still not sure how much of an age gap, but 🤷‍♀️ this continued to be a damn good listen with more twists, and exposures.

The Narrrator

This was good but, the female narrator was HORRIBLE!!!
She took away from the story. This was
not my first time listening to her. She would probably be some good if she would stop the darn WHISPERING!

I loved this! Kale is by far my favorite voice actor so far. I love how relaxed he sounds when doing the day to day. very realistic I guess this story has basically everything I love. we're there times I wanted to kill Damien? sure. but well worth it. I highly recommend this 2 parter.
