Publisher's summary

Luna Thorn is a witch about town. She likes to fancy herself a loner, but the truth is, she has the weight of the world resting on her shoulders.

Gorgons are infiltrating Detroit, and they’ve set their sights on Luna. They want her. The question is: why? Luna is determined to find out. It won’t be easy.

When zombies attack the Cathedral, the building Luna and the people she cares for call home, Luna is determined to snuff out the culprit. Unfortunately for her, the only lead she has is a witch who isn’t in the mood to offer up help.

When the most powerful mage in the Midwest pops up for a visit, Luna is glad for the help. The responsibility is becoming overwhelming, though, and she’s afraid she might crack under the pressure.

As a traveler, Luna can wander through time. If only she could control her powers. It’s not as easy as she hoped, however. Instead, she keeps overshooting her mark, and the resulting chaos is not what she bargained for.

Luna wants to save the world. More than that, she wants to keep the people she loves most safe. An ancient order of monsters wants to stop her in her tracks.

It’s a fight to the finish, and when Luna delves into the history of the world she resides, she finds that some things should be left in the past. Will she have that option, though?

Luna won’t give up. Neither will the friends she’s surrounded herself with. That just might be their downfall, though.

Will she survive to find out the truth of her past? Or will she die never knowing what she was truly meant to be?

So Exciting!

The story gave me goosebumps. I even started crying during chapter 3. AML is a masterful storyteller. Just so very wonderful. Fabelaktig! The narrator changed but Ms Kelly does a great job. (Ms Lee explained on her FB page
she had to change narrators- no option.)

Fantastic book!

I love this book. I’ve read it twice already and will be reading it again. Megan Kelly is a great voice actress and hits Luna and the rest of the group perfectly in my opinion. Luna has more challenges thrown her way. But with Jesse and the Grimlocks, she is learning more about her time travel abilities along with fighting zombies. And with Zoe, things get interesting. I love Luna standing up to Cormack but can’t wait to see that how much longer it takes for him to get more control…wait a minute, Luna can outmatch him. Love the family she has built as she learns more about her past.

WHY CHANGE NARRATOR?

The story is engaging as usual. But I began listening expecting to hear familiar Luna and Grimlock voices and instead heard Scout Randall's voice. I almost returned it at that moment but decided to see if the story made up for it. And, it did.

Enjoyed it!

I really enjoyed the storyline and having all my favorite characters together. I was disappointed with the narration. I don't think she was bad but it took me some time to adjust to the difference. Sorry but I couldn't really match this new voice with my idea of what Luna sounds like. Not enough gusto! Used to this narrator being Scout's voice.

Bad Narrator

Miss previous narrator. This one does not know where to emphasize and where not to.

The Narrator ruined it for me

I couldn't even finish it. The narrator was horrible compared to the original. I couldn't enjoy the story because of it. I hate this because I was so excited for this book. I'm just doing the KU version for the rest of the series I guess.

Go back to the original narrator

I absolutely love Amanda M Lee books. I have grown fond of all her series. This book is a great story, but I was thrown off with the narrator. This voice is Scouts series and I had a difficult time getting into the story because the voice threw me off. Please go back to the original narrator. I have the rating I did because I couldn't get into the story voice. I'm sorry.

Great story, not so great narrator

I love this series from Amanda M. Lee, I've waited for this book since I completed the last one. Although the story is excellent as usual the narrator was not as good as the previous one. All the character voices sounded old and not as vibrant as before.
