Must read for all those entrepreneurs out there!

Great information. Well organized and narrated. It was really nice have the action points at the end of each sections. Nice little recap of important points.

Great book

a great book, covers a lot of info and experience.

if you've read other books you may find you've heard some of this before.

you may find also Howard goes a bit quickly though some parts and you wish he'd slow down a little as he has soo much knowledge

Great Book about the Basics

This book is wonderful in learning the most basic things that are the most important to running a successful practice. I especially loved learning how to better treat and motivate my staff/team and learning about tracking numbers. So important and often overlooked by the new dental entrepreneur.

The author is a great mans and very successful. Not my favorite as the narrator of his book. Just found it to be a little raw and choppy. That being said, maybe this was a bit enduring and real as well.

This book was 90% incredible. One other thing, however, that I didn’t not love was his high pressure to just focus on a dental practice. I do think dentists are better at sticking to dentistry, for the most part. However, there is nothing wrong with becoming so successful and effective, that you can spend time with other hobbies, people, business ventures, vacations, etc that don’t just directly involve dentistry. It does not have to be your life, especially if you want to set yourself up for good retirement or if your back and neck hurt so bad that a little less time in the chair makes sense.

Dr Farran gives great, practical advice for any business owner in what matters most when succeeding in business. The stories he uses to explain his experiences and those of other successful companies helped me to understand what's needed to succeed in business and in life. A must read for the entire dental team.

Full of Pragmatic Advice!

If you're like me, you're irritated by the ilk of self-help books that just babble on with common sense, repetitive nonsense that somehow empowers people. Farran's book is a reprieve from this, as he explains many key aspects of his business systems and philosophies that have made him successful. It's a quick read with many great takeaways that can be implemented to improve your business or get you on the right track to starting one.

the manual for running your business

This was a great book to listen to driving to work. It should be required reading for all dental students.
