The Anchor is a low angst, sweet and spicy romance series that's a spin-off from Breakfast at Bennett's. Though they're in the same universe, you don't need to listen to Breakfast at Bennett's to enjoy this series.

Non-traditional Sweet M/M Romance

E.M. Denning is a new to me author. I loved the intro into the Anchor series so I will probably continue on. Archer and Shane were so sweet! I love how they truly were an "opposites attract" couple. 1 is wealthy and settled, the other is struggling financially and in life. 1 is tall - over 6 feet and a little bit older, the other is short - 5 foot 5 (at another time I heard 5 foot 6). What's interesting is that they didn't follow the standard 'big guy dominates small guy' trend - at least in the bedroom. I have a total kink for big submissive guy with a smaller dominant guy so this title ticked a few of my boxes. Great story overall, the performance was spot on - I followed Devon Ryder to this gem so he was awesome as always. I am familiar with Lance West's work and I thought he did a good job as well. E.M. Denning is showing her age! Well I guess I am too! lol....There were mentions of movies that came out in the 80s before I hit puberty that I cherished then, but haven't thought about in YEARS! Like Maximum Overdrive - an old Stephen King movie where the aliens took over machines bringing them to life to dominate humans. Batteries Not Included and Cocoon - also films including aliens. I totally agree with Archer that Shane is a fixer like those little robots in Batteries Not Included, I know what movies I am gonna look for this weekend!
