Childhood Friends- to Enemies- to Lovers!!!

Although, this book is not as spicy as the first book, it is well written and a very good listen. I love how the first book only gave a hint of there relationship but never gave the full extent of it away because it made this book completely worth the listen. The fact that there relationship problems did not revolve completely around Cam but around family drama made it luring. In addition, the heteroflexible thing has got to go LOL, but I adore how Mark does not freak out about liking Chet because these are feelings he's always had deep down inside.

I love this book, as I loved the previous one. My problem is that I CANNOT tell a different between the 2 main character voices. I can figure it out by context, but sometimes I actually have to look at the app to see the chapter name (thank goodness that is there). There really should be a bigger difference between the voices. He’s a good narrator - has a good voice - but it is driving me a little crazy.

Another great audiobook by Neve Wilder!

I always love when an audiobook is released and it's a surprise! I knew Try me was coming so I was extremely happy when it just popped up in Audible. This was everything I wanted it to be! Enemies to Lovers/Former Best Friends/Second Chance. Loved Chet & Mark's story. And as always, Kirt Graves was awesome as the narrator.

Great story!

I love Neve Wilder. I'm pretty sure there hasn't been a book she's written that I haven't loved. This is an overall great series and while this one is probably my least favorite of the three that are currently out in this series, that in no way means it's not a great book.

Chet and Mark have excellent chemistry. I love the whole friends to enemies to lovers story line. I really liked that it didn't take too long for them to get together, but it also wasn't an insta-love kind of situation. The story itself was interesting and really well written. I was curious to see how the internship was going to go and whether that was going to end up being the big angsty part. I am happy to say that this book was pretty low on the angst scale, as well.

The narration fell really short for me. I've listened to Kirt Graves before and I think I keep hoping I'll see what everyone loves in his narration and I'm just missing it somewhere. I find his voice to be pretty monotone and he cannot do different voices. I had a hard time telling Chet and Mark apart for the majority of the book. And on top of that, his voice for Eric was a British accent? That was weird as Eric is most definitely NOT British. Also, I'm assuming Graves is Canadian based off of his own accent and the characters are supposed to be American, so I wasn't a fan of that either.

Overall the book was really great and if you've liked pretty much any of Wilder's other books, you will definitely like this one. I just wish it was narrated by someone different.

This is my first time leaving a review even though I always mean to. I loved this story and I love the series and I abso-freakin-lutely LOVE Kirt Graves and if he is narrating, good chance I will always listen. You can't go wrong with this series or Kirt Graves delivery ❤🔥

two sexy leads and superb narration

I Loved this book so much! Quite honestly I listened to book one some time ago and loved it but for some reason (Most likely my huge library of audio books yet to listen to!) It got shuffled to the back burner and WHAT TOOK ME SO DAMN LONG??? Nobody writes steamy scenes any better than Neve Wilder! They were sensual and hot and I loved the evolution of these characters and their path to a HEA. It kept my interest throughout the story and the characters were well developed and compelling. The back story was believable and there was just the right amount of tension to keep my interest but not so much to create frustration. I loved the way they came together...no pun intended I swear! I highly recommend this and I feel a bit torn about book three due to the reviews of the dual narration. I am very picky about narrators they can ruin the very best novels...I wish it was Kirt Graves for the entire series because he was perfection! Wow what a stellar job of narrating. The performance was nuanced and all the characters were easily distinguishable from each other. His narration and Neve's amazing writing were the perfect collaboration... I highly recommend books one and two of this series!

I Liked the First Book Better

I liked the first book in the series better. That being said, this one's enjoyable. Perfectly narrated.

Enjoyed this one from Kirt. Show Me is up next featuring Jesse and Sam, and has dual narration.

***Book Review***

4.5 stars rounded up from me. Much better for me than Want Me, cause at least this one had an actual storyline and turned me into a puddle of goo at one point.

Really liked both MC's Chet and Mark, and it was well-written as per usual by Neve, but there were a few typos and little niggles. The Ponzi-type plotline reminded me of Tom's dad in Off Campus by Amy Jo Cousins, which I also gave 5 stars to. Mark's dad was a complete and utter arse, controlling and mostly very unpleasant; I suppose he thought he naturally had the right to control every aspect of his son's life, seeing as he was the mayor, in charge of his own very successful business and was paying for everything his son had...well, guess what Mister? You don't have that right, you bl**dy hypocrite!!

Chet was a wonderfully complex character, although I can't really say I was in love with his name 😏. He was having to work with what he'd got, bearing in mind that he and his family had been shafted by his crook of a father and he was now having to hold down several jobs just to put himself through Uni, and help his mum and sister out. Mark had been his best friend growing up, and when the s**t hit the fan Pynchon senior-wise, it transpired that Mark's father had dished the dirt on his former best friend and sold him out to the FBI.

Not giving anything else away, the story is well worth your time [and the little kinky Teacher/Student extra available by following the link at the end of the book]. Can I just say that I'd LOVE Cam to get a HEA of his own too, although I understand Jesse takes centre stage in the next story.

The whole series is raw and amazing

I just realised I have when the books are low angst... like I read for emotions and turmoil and all the feels.
This book has plenty. Not a narrator I listened before, but half of the book 1 I bought book 2 and 3 as well, even though I read book 3 already. Wanted to have all 3 audio available for future relisting.

Amazing book again! I really liked the first one of the series and this one is no different!
Real sweet characters and interesting story.
The narratiom by Kirt Graves is top of course!
