Publisher's Summary

A gripping lesbian paranormal romance about family bonds and being true to yourself.

When wolf-shifter Kelsey Yates discovers that Danny, a 14-year-old shape-shifter, is living with an adoptive human mother, she is sent to protect the pup and get him away from the woman.

Successful CEO Rue Harding has no idea of her son's true nature or that Kelsey, the beautiful, mysterious private tutor she hires for him, isn't really there to teach him algebra. But when the deaf teen runs away, Kelsey and Rue frantically work together to find him before his first transformation sets in and reveals the shape-shifters' secret existence to the world.

It's a race through New York City, with emotions running high. But amid the backdrop of their desperate search, could the two women discover something else, something unexpected, in each other?

Every bit as good as the book.

I've read the whole series and really enjoyed it. I've been disappointed quite a few times when listening to a book I enjoyed reading. I should have known that wouldn't happen with Abby Craden narrating it.
Considering this us a paranormal romance, Jae did a great job with the complexities of a hearing person raising a deaf child. Funny that the Raza are more upset about the fact that Rue is a human than her being a lesbian. The characters were good. Those that don't like a lot of sex scenes will like it. It was more paranormal than romance but I enjoyed it.

As amazing as book 1!

Even better than I expected!
I wasn't sure how I'd feel about Jorie and Griffin not being the main characters, but this book was fantastic

Another great listen!

Great story, characters, and performance!

I did wonder if this is actually book 2 in the series. It's as if the cover art for book 4 accidentally got slapped onto book 2 in the series. Does anyone else think this? (If not, where are books 2 and 3?)

Great story!!!

I loved this book. Abby brings these characters to life in a way that has you not wanting to stop listening. I finished this book in one day. Listened from start to finish. Jae is a mastery with words. I would
literally read anything she writes. She is THAT good!. I find myself now looking for the first three books. Amazon... here I come.

I need shape shifters in my life

It just finished too soon. I'd love a follow up of Danny growing up into a Grown wolf and the three of them being a strong pack.

That and obviously more hot scenes between Rue and Kelsy 🔥

Abby Craden is outstanding as always.

Awful characters

Thank goodness for Abby Craden’s narration
None of the characters were relatable and none of them had redeeming qualities

I should have known better, I’m not a fan of JAE’s work as her characters are simply awful people
Abby Craden’s narration made it bearable, and I kept thinking at least one of the characters would evolve into someone decent.

The characters were either bullies, frustratingly weak of character or just outright annoying like the brat teenager
