But Shelby is determined to summon all her savvy as a book editor to plot the murder - and find the killer before he strikes again.

Narrator sounds like she just woke up

The choice of a narrator makes so much difference for an audiobook. This is probably an innocuous, unremarkable book, but with the assistance of a truly dismal narrator, it's unlistenable.

struggled to finish - writing included many cliches, in word choices, dialogue, and plot. narrator also was just ok, sometimes emphasizing words in the sentence oddly, and not imbibing characters w personality
