Slower to Get Through, but Worth It

This book is about Leslie's trial with the Fae, Tristan. For some reason, this was the hardest book in the series for me to get through. It seems like a lot of people enjoy this one, but maybe the Fae people just aren't as engaging to me as vampires or werewolves.

I don't think that this preference of mine is anyone's fault. The story writing was still great, and so was the narration. I'm not going to remove stars just for my own personal preferences.

I wanted to put my review out there in case there's prospective readers who encounter the same thing. Personally, I absolutely loved the first book and the third one. So, if this one is less interesting to some readers, I think it's still worth getting to the next book. I thoroughly enjoyed the series as a whole.

EnThralling!

Mysteries deepen and shocks abound as a bewildered Leslie moves onto the second Trial with Tristian the Fae Leader! Handsome, witty, Tristian. He’s hiding something, or a few something’s! What could it be. I am enjoying every minute as Lizzy Ford continues to draw me into a new world filled with multi-dimensional characters, magic, and supernatural beings in book two of this delightful series. Her writing and scene setting are so clear that I easily understand the “who’s” and “why’s”, and her dialogue so realistic, so entertaining, that I am held enthralled throughout! And the characters! I really love her characters. They are so well developed, so well introduced and explained! I feel very well acquainted with them and yes, I absolutely have a favorite and no, I’m not telling who, at least not yet! Then there is the performance that brings this book to life! Amazing! So pure, so heartfelt, so emotional and so perfect! When narration is this good it truly makes listening an absolute pleasure! On the whole this one was a world class five star experience! I can’t wait for the next book!

I previously read this series and I'm dying as I listen to it and already know the ending. I'm even more invested in the story and characters if you can understand that. Desperate times make people do some very desperate things. I'm cringing!! Leslie's altruism ( after what was done to her) is unfathomable!!! The story is bittersweet and had me crying as I listened to some of it. The storyline and character are compelling and captivating, and I loved it all except for the losses. The emotional overload with highs and lows are intense. I can't wait for the next book to listen to. The world building is phenomenal. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrators did a great job bringing the characters and story to life. I highly recommend this series.

Truly Enthralled by this book!

Oh my gosh, I loved the first book in the series and wondered how the second book would hold up. It was just as incredible, if not even better! So excited to dive into the next. I’m so intrigued by the storyline and can’t wait to hear what happens next. And as always, the narrators killed it. They are such a fantastic duo and did an amazing job portraying the characters and their feelings. They way they are able to change accents and truly distinguish between characters is phenomenal. Bravo on another fantastic book!

Steamy and Exciting

This book is the second in the series and does not disappoint. I absolutely love Lizzy Ford’s books. She has original stories that have twists and turns. This one was super steamy!

The dual narration with this one is so good! It is so seamless and all the characters have thier own sound and personality.

Absolutely a must to have!

Emotional and Enthralling!

This is the second book in the Trial series, a Paranormal Romance. The story continues where the first book left off. Leslie is an amazing character. Her quest is breathtaking. Tristan is a complex and enigmatic character. They share a sizzling chemistry. The storyline is sexy, emotional, and enthralling. The world building is original and intriguing. Lillian Yves and Vincent Lee Grayson did an amazing job with the narration. Looking forward to listening to Trial by Blood, the next book in the series.

Too short, but intriguing!

This series should definitely be enjoyed in the correct order, although the main events are retold vaguely in the next books.
I entirety loved the second book also - the linear story development, the one point of you and the simple, but deep steps to the trial. I think this book and series would benefit from being longer and having the main characters to develop more and showing the reader even deeper meaning behind the curse and the trial.
But for one's evenings simple, quite entertainment - superb.

Trial by thrall

Trial by thrall, this is a really good book. Kind of plays with your emotions, but get you pulled in to the story. I’m excited to see what the next two books bring

Tristan is such a softie (swooning)

Leslie has completed her wolf week and now is with the Fae. Tristian who is the leader of the Fae shows so much of a soft side with Leslie that she finds it hard to believe he could be a killer. The more he teaches Leslie about the “book of Secrets” the more confused she gets. She finds out she has healing magic and becomes a threat to herself. The romance Leslie has with Tristian is way different than with Ben. Tristian isn’t as cocky as Ben is lol. Again Lizzy has written a book full of Mystery and romance. Lillian and Vincent nailed another book together as narrators. These 2 are def hot AF together!

Another great book

I loved the first book, the second even better!!! I thought I was figuring out what was gonna happen and nope that ending I was smiling and saying dang. The narration amazing I love the way it is recorded. The narrator’s themselves did such an outstanding job! Going to book 3
