Publisher's Summary

Introducing a new anti-hero. Meade Breeze lives on the far outskirts of society with no visible means of support. He survives on his wits and a meager income derived from selling home-grown dope to suburban housewives and home-brewed rum to bums in the park.

He's also on the run from his past misdeeds. He fears it will all catch up with him someday, so he stays on the move aboard his classic trawler. Explore the Gulf Coast Islands, Florida Keys, and the Bahamas with Breeze, but keep one eye over your shoulder. His mission to return his dead wife's ashes to their special place seems hopeless. He's going nowhere fast until a chance encounter with a lover from his past changes his luck, or does it?

I'm ready to buy a boat

I listen to quite a few audio books and was very pleased with this one. This was my first experience with both Ed
Robinson as an author and Michael Naftel as a narrator. My hat is off to both. The story moves along nicely, and definitely reels you in from the start. Mr. Naftel's narration is spot on. His transition between characters is flawless as well as consistent. I would expect when I buy my boat and run into Breeze he will sound just like he did on the audio :)
Looking forward to the next one!

Pretty good but...

It was fun to listen to a story about so many of the places we’ve been to on our own boat. The characters were interesting and I was enjoying it but I had a really tremendous amount of difficulty getting past the mispronunciation of boat terms. Surely the recording would have been reviewed by the author? When he goes to the Bahamas and starts talking about all the different islands he pronounces Cay as kā not key as it’s supposed to be pronounced. There were several other words mispronounced and it just got to be annoying since he was supposed to be an experienced captain. It would have been much better to read the book rather than listen to the recording.

Adventure

What a fun trip with breeze.
Looking forward to reading the next book. Plus as a boater, I learned a few new tricks. I have a similar boat, sea ray 420 AC on Lake Powell in Utah. Love the boating lifestyle.

Cheeseburger wishing for pardise.

This book hit home on so many levels, past & hopefully, future. All except for the embezzlement part. I've had my Laura & i've had my Andy, gone in similar fashion and thought of still to this day, in the same respective ways. I've had the notion to take to the ocean for as long as I could remember and just island hop in the Caribbean. I'll definitely be finishing this series.

Thanks.

Its gewid... he sayud... It is gewid... she sayud

But don't worry, they DO get another reader for this series. Hard to review the series without spoilers but I'll say, I haven't listened to all of them but I am re-running the 11 books. Absolutely awesome up to the not-going-to-spoil-it-for-you point, but I still contemplate starting the Mountain Breeze series because this is so good. You may have to get over some drug references that you will find are relevent to the series. I highly recommend this SERIES. And as I sayud, I would probably have to apologize to the reader; My whole family is country a f, but dayum. It is distracting at times. Don't let it deter you. It is pretty well written and as I have already said, they do curb the reader.
