Story
The gods should have agreed to fight the giants and let Ragnarök run its course and bring about the end of time. For a new world could only rise from the ashes of the old. But because the gods prophesied to die refused to take part, Yggdrasil - the World Tree - was forced to act before the stalemate led to the annihilation of the nine worlds and its very existence. And so I was born. One of the many seeds dispersed by the mighty World Tree, I was teleported through different planes and universes to find a new home where to settle.

Publisher's Summary
Dale wanted to do more than survive as a dungeon core. His experience with the gods made it clear that with power, he could do as he pleased, and without it, he was simply a toy of the powerful. Unfortunately, it isn't just the gods who have plans for the Traveling Dungeon.
Follow Dale as he tries to create his own little world, study magic, enchant devices, and create challenges for the gods and an (Arch-Mage). All while trying to keep Miss Blue-Box happy.
From The Spire of the West to the Orcs of the South, to a discovery that will rock the world, Dale can't help but shove his stone where it doesn't belong.

just not for me
I couldn't finish this one.
Somehow the protagonist is even more annoying than the first book. Combine that with the overall story feeling directionless and the tumor l humour not landing with me... yeah, just not for me.
Be prepared, a large majority of the book is the protagonist describing, in excruciating detail, the faux science behind his magic and constantly correcting himself.
While probably an accurate representation of some of what would go through the mind, it's exceedingly dull. Like reading through someone's working-out on their math exam.

The sheer amount of info dumps is staggering.
also the authors predilection to use certain phrases is annoying, yet not annoying, more that I'm annoyed at being annoyed. (that's the thing I'm talking about)
Rambling tangents about how things work are spoon fed with lots of detail. The reason why scifi just slaps some science words together and glosses over the fine details of precisely how a warp drive works is because it's boring af, please follow this example instead of giving me half baked dimensional minutiae.
Performance was great, but the overall book could do with a proper editor to tighten the story up.
Finally, cliffhangers suck.

word diarrhea
I think my title speaks for itself. this book has word diarrhea, a whole bunch of explaining on how things work and why they work with very little dialogue between characters or developing of the overall story. Dale the main character has only reached out to his supposed goddess once in the book. I had to call it quits with 2 hours remaining because nothing has developed from the story.

I spent most of my life trying to get by with whatever happiness I could, that included alcohol, food, and porn. My death was unpleasant and humiliating. However, death is something we all need to go through. A bit like a proctology exam: necessary, but never anything one wants to go through while it's happening. However, death was supposed to be the end of it. Either way, the pain, suffering, and failures were supposed to be over. Eric wanted to be a barkeep, like his adoptive father. He wanted only to run the family inn and enjoy his small corner of the world. His dreams weren't of adventure or power. His dreams were modest and humble. His dreams were not to be. As the bastard son of Lord EarthScorn, he had a Knack, which meant he would have to be trained as a wizard for the council. He would have to defend the kingdom from the evils of the outer world.

The decision to start a new life is never an easy one, but for Joe the transition was far from figurative. Becoming a permanent addition to a game world, it doesn't take long to learn that people with his abilities are actively hunted. In fact, if the wrong people gained knowledge of what he was capable of, assassins would appear in droves.

Every beginning is also an end. Rem, the Foxkin Oracle of the Wildwood, knows this better than most, seeing as he is on his second life. Most people don't get another chance at the whole life thing after a stupidly oversized adventurer's hammer uses their head to paint a tree, but a goddess on the Pantheon of the Divine sees great potential in Rem. Granted salvation by his Patron, Rem becomes a Dungeon Core, a magical entity tasked with creating the trials essential to helping adventurers become the true warriors they were meant to be.

Story
Corbin is an adventurer; he just hasn’t realized it. He was born in the wrong age - an era where the world has already grown tame. With the advent of fully immersive virtual reality, however, that’s all going to change. A revolutionary new game - Chronicle - makes much bolder claims than the competition. It offers a perfect simulation in a new world with quests, magic, monsters, and gods - but Chronicle’s biggest draw is something irresistible: While players are logged in, they have extra time to live.

Story
For eons, conquering dungeons has been the most efficient way to become a strong adventurer. Although not everything is as straightforward as it seems. Several questions have always plagued the minds of those who enter these mythical places of power: why are there so many monsters? Where do the amazing weaponry and heavy gold coins come from? Why does the very air fill with life-giving energies? Cal has all of the answers to these age-old questions, for a very simple reason. He is a Dungeon Heart.
