Inspired!!!

Remi my brotha! What an amazing story you have! Truly, as I began to listen to your story on where you came from, immediately I began to visualize Prince Akeem! Obviously, the premise is entirely different in that Eddie Murphy's character had a choice, in contrast to yours as a kid. While you talk about going through BUD/S, being a Navy SEAL, and going to war, this book is not about that but is certainly has helped. Having grown up, in many ways, similar to you, I know what it's like to have the deck of cards stacked against you. The fact you were able to overcome such adversities through the crucible of your life has made you into the man you are today. This truly spoke to me. And, while words like grit, perseverance, determination, resolve, diligence, self-esteem, self-efficacy, etc. all seem like catchy words nowadays in describing ones character, I think there's only one word that represents all of them, that never gets old or over used and that is true 'Love'. I could see how your 'not so true' love for self and material things grew into a true love for others and eventually God, which changed...or better yet 'transformed' you. I think there is a recipe for success, and you truly discovered it. Your story will surely inspire many people of all ages from across many backgrounds to be more than just themselves. I think Transformed demonstrates that once you put others above yourself, and not just for a specific group of people or demographic, but for ALL people, they will truly be enlightened in what real love is all about. This book was truly inspiring

Remi Adeleke, you truly inspired me through this book. The writing was captivating, and the story was incredible. I listened to the audio book, and I only listened while in my car, fitting the parts of the book pertaining to Remi’s training, I would sit in my car for 10 to 15 minutes extra just so I could listen. As someone who’s dream was to be a Navy SEAL, but could not this book made my appreciation for what they go through even deeper.


Remi, thank you for your service and thank you for helping me to be sure that the voice I hear is the voice I need to follow, you are truly a role model, and an inspiration for me. I hope some day I can get the chance to meet you and talk with you about all the great things you have done and share my story with you as well.

Most relatable warrior I have heard

I appreciate the writer telling his story in a natural and raw way. It made the story that much more compelling as I can identify with the highs and lows of his life, as well as laugh. The words sounding as if I’m with him. Great read but even better on audio.

Life Changing...

This book has really inspired me like none other. From the beginning to the end, this book kept me wanting more... I felt as though I was with him every step of the way during his journey through life. This book is a life changing experience and want be my last time listening to it

Incredible. Listened to it on Audible and finished the book last night. Absolutely the most inspirational and encouraging story I’ve ever heard. Hold on... Remi will blow you away with his powerful messages on life, family, service, perseverance, faith... and ultimately the meaning of it all. Wow.... Remi, you just completely blew it out of the water will how you wrote and narrated this story. There are many great books authored by our combat veterans. This one stands out. I’ve read and listened to dozens of outstanding books. Guess what... this one is THE best. I’ve listened to about 50 Audible books in the last 5 years, and Remi is absolutely the best reader/narrator I’ve heard.

I love this book, my wife had the chance to meet him in person at a community church in Pa.
I was supposed to go and now after reading this book I am so upset at myself for not getting the opportunity to meet such wonderful and inspiring person..
