Publisher's Summary

Seke has no interest in owning or training a slave. Not even Leora, the beautiful human who had captivated his thoughts and fantasies since her arrival on their pod. As the Zandian Master of Arms, he has a war to plan and new troops to train. He can't be tempted by the breathtaking human slave, who, according to Prince Zander, grows aroused by punishment. Yet he can't allow another male to bring her to heel either. Not his Leora.

In all her lifetime as a slave, Leora might have submitted in body, but never in mind. But the prince has given her to the huge, scarred warrior, Seke, for punishment and she finds he has unexpected ways of bending her to his will. Ways that leave her trembling and half-mad with desire. But her new master is unwilling to take a new mate, and she fears that once he deems her training complete, he will set her aside, leaving her heart in pieces.

this was a continuation of a series

Any additional comments?

I did not realize this was a continuation of a series!
The kinky hotness is almost on level with book one in this series.
Not only do we get Seke and Leora's story, but this ongoing saga includes growth and further bonding between Zander and Lamira, and a snippet of Rok and Lily.
It appears Lundric may have a story next?
Lots of surprises in this story with enough action, emotions, a family reunited, and lots of steamy love scenes.

A true love story.

I'm addicted to this series. usually I'm not a fan of older character romance, but I must admit this book has been my favorite.. The struggles to move on is a wall that Zeke must get through. Plus Zander must face his fear of setting his mate free. Zeke is probably my favorite character and even at 50 something, he dies not disappoint behind the sheets. This was such a deep storyline, I can't wait to listen to the next installment.

A second chance at love

Another great book in the series. Who says that honor is dead or that you can't find love after 40? This book shows that all that is wrong. It takes a strong woman to stand her ground and make a stubborn man acknowledge and rethink what he thought and believed for years. It takes a strong man to let that woman in and let her be strong for him also. I loved this story because it had the maturity of a hard life and the strong hand of a passionate lover.

Great next step in Zandian saga!! Loved this book.

What did you love best about Training His Human?

I loved everything about this book. It fills in where the last one left off and has lovely romantic turn for the Zandian warrior whose first family was lost to him so many years ago. And his human Leora has a comparable life story, so they fit together so very well. It's a beautiful thing.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Seke was my favorite character in this book because he has such an honorable and sacred view of other life forms and especially of the inner workings of Leora's psyche. He is a very unique character in that regard and I find him fascinating.

Which character – as performed by Jiraiya Addams – was your favorite?

I find all the work by Jiraiya Addams to be excellent/superb. His voice gives these characters such sizzle. He brings the written word to life and the characters leap off the page through his voice.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

yes, and I did!!!

Any additional comments?

Renee Rose is a magnificently talented author whose work is so very addicting, I gobble up her books one after the other and luxuriate in re-reading more times than I can count.

Book 3 does not disappoint !

This series is so much fun to read ! The storyline continues to be interesting, excited and sexy. Some series can become boring, but not this one. Once again, can't wait to start the next book. The narrator is wonderful.

Great continuation of series!

Book 3 of this series is equivalent to book one. Where book 2 was a bit choppy for me this book brought back the series on track. Overall the series has been a great read. Highly recommend for a weekend binge read.

I kept waiting for a plot...

The previous stories in this series have had better plots, they centered on the characters, but things were going on in the characters lives beyond their relationship... by contrast this story was so focused on their relationship that while there was growth for not only Seke, but Zander also, I felt like they had been kinda wasting their time, even when they alluded to dealing with the greater issues they were facing.

It lacked the world building and "getting things done" I wanted. That being said, it was a great story about not only trust, but about a shifting and evolving relationship.

Leora has relied on Seke, in subtle ways, and when their relationship fundamentally changes she feels betrayed... until he gives her a different perspective from which to view the change. She in turn helps him to rethink emotional burdens he has carried for years, reminding him sometimes we react ion instinct, instead of thinking things through.

I had this book in Kindle Unlimited as well as Audible, and was intrigued that when I read for a while, Audible quickly updated where I was in the story, and offered to move me to my new position... however, after listening for a while, that new position did not seem to be relayed back to Kindle as quickly and easily, so I found it helped to keep track of where I finished listening if I was going to read next.
