As I grew up I started to see that children acted up and struggled mostly due to a lack of sense of self. The modern family, with both parents working and struggling themselves, did not lend time to learn about one's family history. There was no sense of "where I came from" and as such this audiobook is a collection of stories I used to teach my own daughter who she was, where she came from and consequently what the phrase "you're a Bard, we don't act like that" meant.
My grandmother was an unintentional feminist who did what she wanted, didn't ask for permission and, according to her "was just the right amount of stupid to succeed". She also raised me (or, "took me over" as I usually say it...I was definitely a cost-center on her P&L) from the time my mother passed away two weeks after my ninth birthday. As cliche as it is to say this, I learned nearly everything I know about the world, life, and about not worrying or overthinking from her.
I hope you find something in here that can help you with your own family or even yourself. We're all in this together.
