Rob Burrow is one of the greatest rugby league players of all time. And the most inspirational. As a boy, Rob was told he was too small to play the sport. In December 2019, Rob was diagnosed with motor neurone disease, a rare degenerative condition, and given a couple of years to live. He was only 37, not long retired and had three young children. Rob Burrow truly is a survivor. This is about his journey with MND (ALS in the US) and his years as a rugby player and upstanding family man. If the reader gets nothing else through his or her head is that life is short and catastrophic things can happen at any time. We have no time and cannot with certainty plan for a future here on earth. The saddest part of the book is Rob’s uncertainty about death and eternity. The only answer is Jesus Christ and I pray he and those he love find this blessed hope. Thank you Rob for sharing your story.
