Great story

I was given this book for free.

It was a great story and I enjoyed it a lot, great narrator as well.

Recommend!

Imaginative and Compelling

I can't say I "enjoyed" this feminist take on the damsel-in-distress story. Does anyone actually enjoy something that creates discomfort? I did, however, find the story entertaining and enthralling as it traced the path of a woman teetering between hope and despair. The author uses details, which are both imaginative and plausible, to create a dystopian future that, given our current political and cultural climate, is completely conceivable. I also found the author masterfully skated along the thin line that separates genuine, well-meaning, love-based faith from abusive religious zealotry and coercive conformity.
