If you had the power to change things in the past for the betterment of yourself, your family, or the world, what would you do? Brian Partridge is a fan of all things science fiction, especially when a book or film is about time travel. One day after buying all of his favorite author's personal effects in an estate sale following the man’s death, he finds out just how this man of words managed to write about the past with such passion and detail. The truth was he had visited all those places using his very own time machine.

Liberal rhetoric

Publisher's Summary
Marty Mann and Nellie Dixon are back for another irreverent, liberal, twisty, time travel comedy! This time they have Noah’s Ark and Ronald Reagan in their sights.
Where would you go on a time travel vacation?
At the conclusion of their last episode, Marty Mann and Nellie Dixon were on Starship Blue, about to depart for the planet Krichardia, some 40 light-years away. Knowing that they would likely never return to Earth again, their Krichard lovers, Chrissie and Tina, arranged for them to abscond with the Chromosphere Cruiser for up to 20 seconds. During that time, Marty and Nellie could do whatever they wanted as a way to say goodbye to Earth. Days, weeks, or even months might pass for them, but as long as their final time jump delivered them back into Starship Blue’s cruiser bay within 20 seconds of their departure, Captain Jagger and the rest of the Krichard crew would never know they were gone.
In this episode, our snarky heroes embark on that time travel vacation. Those trips will hurl them into an enlightening adventure that spans from 3000 BC to AD 10,000. They’ll discover the truth behind Noah’s Ark, encounter the Cult of the Holy Smokin’ Hot Nellie, pilfer a bass from a young Geddy Lee, and be taken prisoner by people in the future with just one demand: Kill Ronald Reagan!
Time Is Irreverent 3: Gone for 16 Seconds is a hilarious, thought-provoking satire with unpredictable twists, an unconventional Jesus, an unwitting Ronald Reagan, and an unabashed look at Earth’s past and future!
Publisher’s Warning: This book is intended for a liberal audience and features satirical content that may not be appropriate for Donald Trump supporters or those who are offended by views that challenge traditional religious beliefs. Common side effects include wide smiles, sudden laughter, and occasional snorts. Listener discretion is advised.
This is the third book in the Time Is Irreverent series. Each novel is a stand-alone adventure, and a humorous prologue quickly gets listeners up-to-date.

Incredible!
Marty Essen has done it again! Marty and Nellie are back and this time they have 20 seconds to say goodbye to earth and take a well deserved vacation before they head to Chrissie and Tina's planet Krichardia. Their adventure takes them far in the past and into a far distant future where earth has suffered a less than glorious life. Enter Jesus (again), Ronald Reagan, and a few other surprise guest starts and you have another riotous adventure!
I never thought Marty Essen could top his previous two books but I was mistaken. Marty's comedic take on earth, history, climate change, politics, and religion just keeps getting better and better. Nate Maughan's narration is once again spot on! The publishers warning is well deserved and should be heeded. If you don't have at least a few liberal ideas, you should read this anyway. You might just learn something!
I am very hopeful a 4th book is in the works as I can't wait!

Great finale
This is the third book I have read/listened to by this author and I would gladly listen to another. This series was fantastically insightful and entertaining.
Marty and Nellie’s adventures take them all over the timeline and I love their references to things like Star Trek. The insertion of Mitch McConnell to the timeline was well done. Jesus continues to play a roll as they visit Noah. I never knew Regan took the solar panels off the White House.
This is the second book I have listened to by this narrator ( Nate C Maugham ) and I would listen to another. His style is good and brought out each character so they were recognizable. His female voices were well done.
There are no explicit sex scenes,p or excessive violence. There is swearing.

A good story spoiled by 10th grade writing.
I loved the plot line in all 3 books but did not really enjoy the books for 2 reasons. Firstly the narrator had excellent dicttion but poor abilities in providing emotional qulities to the characters. I found it similar to listening to a lecture on how to stack shelves in a library.
Secondly the writer tried for humor in his writing but failed mierably. His characters talked to each other like actors in a ad for some patent nostrum rather than the casual way of normal speech. Again I repeat that the story was good but the writing and performance were sub standard.

Irreverent and Joyous
I love listening to this series by Marty Essen! The time travelling series keeps getting better with each new book, and that's saying something because the first book was on such a high plateau to begin with.
There is a "Publisher's Warning" in the Audible description that the book is intended for a liberal audience.and "may not be appropriate for Donald Trump supporters or those who are offended by views that challenge traditional religious beliefs." Quite so. Fortunately, that's not me.
Like it's predecessors, I found this book a veritable hoot, full of wit, cutting satire and riotous adventures. I found the narration by Nate C. Maughan to be right on target, with good comedic delivery and and a fine job with both the male and female voices.
I hope there is a fourth volume to the series, but if that is not to be in this time stream, I am thankful that the author has written this third installment. I particularly enjoyed seeing the character Mitch getting his well deserved comeuppance. I regret I cannot personally witness the dance that smokin' hot Nellie Dixon will do after reading this review, but after all, audio, like radio, is a theater of the the mind, and fortunately I have an active imagination.
I received a promo copy of this audiobook in exchange for this honest review. If I hadn't, I would gladly have used one of my own to listen to this. Truly good stuff.

A quirky English chap with a taste for fine scotch, Dr. Phineas Templeton builds a time machine at the behest of his mysterious benefactor. His mission? To meet Jesus Christ Himself, and garner all of the fame, recognition, and accolades that writing an epic time travelogue would bring. Unfortunately for Finny, Jesus is actually a fellow time traveler, a hippie named Trent from Colorado in the future. While Trent explains that the past is fixed and immutable, Dr. Templeton realizes that he's made a horrible oversight in his calculations, and can't return to his own time period.

What if you could make a change to history that would eliminate the Spanish Inquisition, American slavery, World War II, global warming, and an egomaniacal US president who thought he was smart enough to drop nuclear bombs here and there without negative consequences? What if that change also made the United States and five billion people poof from existence? Would you do it?

Thirteen years before Emma Dumas bought me in a bachelor auction to teach me a lesson, she stole my heart down on Key West. I fell so hard for this girl, I made all the promises. Only with Emma, I really meant them. And then I disappeared. But it wasn’t my fault. Let’s just call my reason “Family Business”. I’d tell you what that business is, but then I’d have to kill you. Just kidding. I can’t tell you what my family business is because it’s so secret, even I don’t know.

War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength. George Orwell once wrote of a world where abuse of power begins with an abuse of language and a bastardization of truth. Some of today's most exciting voices in speculative fiction explore the ramifications of those ideas in Ignorance Is Strength.

Story
This is the story of Leif Grettison, a crew member of humanity’s first flight to the stars, even though he had not expected to take that trip. The year is 2069. The Troubles, a decade plus of proxy, and direct warfare among the US, Russia, and China, had brought the world to the brink of apocalypse. It was close enough to finally scare the leaders of the powers into signing the Geneva Treaties, a set of agreements pledging peace, cooperation, and the dismantling of the military complexes.
