This 1769 edition is highly sought after due to being more reader/listener friendly than the 1611 since many typos were fixed.... That ending!
I really enjoyed this story. I wasn’t familiar with this author, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I also went into the story totally blind. This is more thriller than horror (in my opinion), which was unexpected, but a pleasant surprise. I love horror and thrillers, and this was the perfect blend. I’m planning to check out some of the author’s other books after listening to this one.
Speaking of listening… the narrator, Erin Deward, does a fantastic job! She voices the character’s beautifully without sounding fake or strained. Absolutely loved her performance.
