Publisher's summary

A faded old ticket glows with an unholy light....

Historian Victor Daniels never planned to devote his life to battling evil spirits or tracking down a collection of cursed antiques unleashed by ruthless occultist Stefan Korzh. But after months of clashing with paranormal threats, he’s developed a reputation as an investigator of the strange and bizarre. So when a rash of mysterious deaths strikes Victor’s home state, an old friend reaches out to him for help.

As Victor investigates the chilling mystery, he is shocked to discover the victims all died by drowning...within the safety of their own homes. Another cursed antique has been unearthed: a ticket for a steamer ship that sank more than a century ago. The worn scrap of paper is haunted by the vengeful ghost of a passenger, and it must gather the souls of the living to complete its final voyage.

Before Victor can put a stop to the murderous spirit’s killing spree, Stefan takes their blood feud to the next level when he captures Victor’s adopted son. Following the madman’s trail to his sleepy hometown, deep in the Pennsylvania woods, Victor must confront his nemesis face-to-face.

The final clash between good and evil has begun, and only one man can emerge victorious....

Fast paced and intense!!

Korzh has released another haunted item out into the world, this time a child who drowned on an ill fated voyage, he now drowns people and collects their souls so he can create the other passengers that were on the boat and they can sail with him like they were meant to. Victor has his hands more than full with this ghost because how can you stop someone who can drown people in their own homes? While Victor has his sights set on the haunted ticket, Korzh kidnaps Tom and Victor will have to hunt him down before it's too late.

I always find horror stories extremely scary when it has kids in it!! There's just something about the innocence of kids being twisted and creating something capable of evil that chills my bones!! Here we have a child that is attached to his ticket and he is intent on gathering up souls so he can go on the voyage again. It sent chills down my spine when I was reading it. <--- and that is why I love this authors work. He can tell a creepy story which stays with you.

I also love how he writes his characters. You can't help but feel for them all.... yes even Korzh!! So much happens in this book that I'm both terrified and extremely excited to read the last one. My heart broke for Ariana, for Tom and even for Victor. I want to say so much but I won't because it will spoil things. There is a reckoning coming and I can not wait!!

Thom Bowers really gives his all and brings the story to life. He has become a great narrator and I look forward to seeing more from him.

I was given this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. This in no way affected nor influenced my thoughts.

Thumbs up

Great book I love how the story takes you along and makes you feel a part of the story. And I love how Victor and Tom grow close as father and son. So glad to see glimpses of Shane and Carl as well. Check out this book and the series you won't regret it.

Ticket to death

I am so impressed with the writer for having such good imagination. I was sucked into the story and could not stop listening to find out what happened next. It is always the child ghosts that make a story creepier. I want to find out what happens to Lianne. The narrator adds an extra element of evil with his voice. I will continue to read and listen to more books from this author.

Ghosts Blasted

I absolutely love this series. I love the characters Victor, Tom, Ariana (Stefan’s sister), Iris (Tom’s girlfriend), Sarah and Shane. Leanne is still seeking revenge of Jean Luc and Bontoc turns out to be evil after all and Tom is really developing his skills as well as Arians is out to get her brother and now father. l cannot wait for next book Death Rattle and Stefan I want him dead already, keep them coming. Highly recommend but start with 1st in series to get full effect of characters. I was given this audiobook by Scare Street and have voluntarily left this review. THANK YOU!!

Another Great Book in the Series

This is another great book in the series with an excellent performance by Tom Bowers. I enjoy each books individual ghost and the continuing saga of the interesting characters. The tie ins with the Berkley Street series keeps that great series alive. The only disappointment was when the book ended :-)

Dying For A Ride

What happens when the ghost of a young boy is determined to finish the ride on a downed boat? He begins killing people to fill the passenger list - and he is determined to take as many with him as he can.
Victor is searching for where the ghost may be hidden, and the item that he is attached to, but without knowing what the item is, the search seems daunting.

Great story, absolutely LOVED this one!

Another great one!

I love this series, Ron Ripley has done a great job developing the various subplots which the characters undertake. There are so many possibilities he could explore with all the different haunted objects and I believe the ones he develops are very clever and well thought out. I love how he is about to bring characters from his other series (Shane) and seamlessly bring them in to the plot. The character dynamics and growth throughout the series make for a great read. I’m sad to hear that the series is coming to an end, but I am excited to see how it all plays out!

Another stellar narrative from Thom Bowers as well!

A Great Book

This is book 8 in the haunting chilling ghost series. All his books can be stand alone but you will want to read them in order and you won't be disappointed. Victor tells Tom to be careful of Bontoc who Tom feels he can trust. The characters continue to be interesting and believable, and are continued from previous books. Stephan continues to sell the evil objects. Stefan is now getting weaker. Stefan is starting to get some back from all the evil he has caused, now wearing an eyepatch where he has lost his eye. You have the ghosts appearing to win with so many deaths you will be on the edge of your seat. Victor and Tom are being called upon as the paranormal investigators. So many mini stories in a book it will keep you wanting more. Thom Bowers does an awesome job with the narration. You won't want to miss this book or this book series.
