Publisher's Summary
"Readers who love a happy ending will not be disappointed." (Author Stacie Eirich)
Josie is content as a maid in a rich cottager's mansion along the Cliff Walk of beautiful Newport, Rhode Island, but the arrival of her employer's handsome, pensive son tempts her into a relationship that while chaste, is forbidden between their social classes in the Gilded Age of 1893.
After travels abroad have led Arthur in search of a deeper connection with his Lord, he returns home to find love with his mother's maid, a Christian girl with a heart full of love and charity. LOVE CHRISTIAN VALUES IS WHAT HE WANTS
A chance meeting watching the sunrise come up, a sight Josie never tires of seeing before working as a maid in the Davenport House. Arthur happens to see her, and how her face showed the enjoyment of what she is watching. Soon she realized who he was, and her life was one of being invisible. Love and Christian values, is what he wants to share, can he change her mind. For him, he is expected to carry on the family business, having no income of his own. This is the early 1900 some people might not accept her as part of the Davenports if they were to wed.
The narration by Dani Diangelo. brought this story to life. Can be read as a stand alone.

Lovely Christian Romance
I received this audiobook free, as an Audiobook Obsession Reviewer, for an honest review. It was so refreshing to listen to a Christian story. The author did an excellent job of keeping the listener's/reader's attention throughout. The lessons learned by Arthur and Josie are passed on to the listener/reader. A very heartwarming and wholesome story. The narrator did a great job with the characters and their personalities.

Very easy listen and enjoyable!
I loved listening to their relationship blossom as it did. Arthur and Josie may be from different social societies but it did not matter when love called to you. They both dealt with many challenges along the way but it was worth it in the end. Im happy this story wasn’t like many quick romances filled with giggles and naivety. It was mature enough with their business ventures and talks of society. This was an emotional storyline and the narrator was amazing portraying all of characters. I loved listening to Rosie’s mother, Lucy, and Dr. Colt share a few moments together. The build in this story was very full. Im so happy many scenes passed without Arthur’s mother and her evil gossiping lies. But when those lies hit it caused Lucy to take the hit instead of Rosie and that was terrible. Overall the story was enjoyable and I recommend it.

It's like a classic Hallmark movie for your ears
*I was provided a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*
Throne of Grace by Cecily Wolfe is a Historical Fiction Christian Romance set in 1893; Newport, Rhode Island. The dashingly rich and handsome Arthur Davenport has a mission in heart to help the impoverished. When he meets a girl walking along the beautiful cliff face who speaks to his soul he breaks the class structures and seeks her company and support. Josie's and Arthur's passion for God leads them to stand against society's harassments and create a friendship that leads slowly but deeply into a love.
The audiobook plays out like one of the original Hallmark movies. Just cliche enough that you get swept up in the romance of it all but with characters whose depth goes beyond who they like. Josie's choices are light hearted 'oh who shall I love' ditsy choices but serious life altering choices that affect not only herself but the livelihood of her mother. Arthur thinks beyond his mission and his lady to gain the love and support of his family.

Wholesome Values
This was a very easy listen and very enjoyable. It is a story set in the late 1800's to early 1900's. The status of a person and the proper etiquette were treated as if they were actual laws. I did enjoy the overall Christian values throughout the book. I really liked the development of Josey and Arthur's relationship. I recommend giving it a listen.
