Harald Darrowdelve has squandered every gift life gave him—until he entered the dungeon beneath Flutic and received a demon's dark blessing.

Weak, privileged, and directionless no more, Harald now commands powers forged in darkness. But each new ability and hard-won level drags him deeper into the ruthless politics of noble houses, shadowy rivals, and the celestial war burning beneath the city's streets.

With every victory, the dungeon reshapes him—but at what cost? As Harald ascends the path of power, will he remain master of his fate or become a servant to the darkness within?

I don’t usually write reviews, but Audible had sent me an email suggesting this book to pre-order and when it came through, I started it up and couldn’t put it down.

Really enjoyed the story and performance. Looking forward to seeing how the characters continue to evolve from here.

Excellent pacing, narrative, and world building

If you’ve already burned through Cradle, Immortal Great Souls, and the rare few progression series that are actually well-written from start to finish, Throne Hunters should be next on your list. Phil Tucker continues to deliver top-tier work for fans of the genre, with a story that’s gripping, smart, and worth every minute.

John Pirhalla’s narration is excellent. He keeps Harald and the rest of the characters distinct and brings the entire story to life with real energy and nuance. It’s the kind of performance that elevates an already great book. Highly recommended.

Hope the next one expands more on the other houses and the interactions between them but this is a super solid start.

Great story

Great characters, intriguing world/dungeon combo and another excellent magic system. John Pirhalla's narration is fantastic. Yet again, I'm left fiending for more. Can't wait for book 2!

Another banger series from Mr. Tucker

love how Phill builds worlds! its not quite bastion, but it’s still 10/10! Bought book 2 and pre-ordered book 3 can’t wait to see where this amazing story goes!!

Great world building as expected from the author of Bastion!!

A dungeon delver that has what all the other are missing. High stakes, well thought out characters that feel like real people with their own motives, and gut wrenching emotion with a promise to the reader that this series will not slowly devolve into a "slice of life" litrpg like so many others do. Phil has absolutely knocked this new series out of the park.

Incredible

This series is starting out to be as good as Immortal Great Souls, which, for me, is among the best. The author is progressing with his skills much like one of the characters of his books.

Phil Tucker is getting better and better.

This book is incredibly deep and the most authentic character development I’ve ever read. Trust me this is a must read for anyone.
