Best New Series Out There

There are a lot of series rolling out and many I find poorly written and disappointingly similar to one another.

This series is the best I’ve read in a while. I just hope the next book is available soon!

Story inconsistencies

I’m having a difficult time listening to all the preaching done in this book. It feels like the author is blatantly trying to change characters personalities to fuel some sort of “deeper” message he wants to be delivered. It takes away from the story a bit. You have a main character, who lives a life of privilege. A society who embraces and rewards power, then gets enhanced by a demon to find out that power for powers sake is bad(?). How would that view point have been derived in this society? Then queue in his friends who also seemed to have miraculously arrived at the same conclusion, in pure contradiction to almost everything that is known(?). To chastise him in doing exactly what EVERYTHING (society, peers, family, religion, and philosophy) is telling him to do. Gain power. How did they arrive at the conclusion that it is wrong? That each life has intrinsic value? This jump in logic that the MC’s choices would deviate far enough from social norm to invoke an emotional reaction strong enough for him to get chastised for it? How? I don’t see how this is possible.

I strongly encourage any fantasy fan to pick up this series. It is truly excellent.

I really like this series and I hope to continue to follow the series. Phil Tucker is a great writer.

I love this series and I can’t wait for the next book.these characters are all very well developed and deep.

A masterclass in character-driven LitRPG

Throne Hunters 2 is everything I want out of progression fantasy/litrpg. Rich characters, high-stakes dungeon delving, and a progression system that feels real. No meaningless skill spam, no six-digit stat bloat, just earned growth that matters.

Harald continues to be a fantastic protagonist: flawed, stubborn, and determined to stay true to himself while the world tries to drag him into its political muck. The noble intrigue adds weight, but this is still a dungeon-core story at its heart, with intense fights, smart worldbuilding, and a party thats actually feeling like a team.

If you’re tired of LitRPGs where every chapter is a spreadsheet or every power up is meaningless inflation, this is your series. Heck, just the fact that most of the characters have well…”character” is a major upgrade for most in the genre!

John Pirhalla continues to do an amazing job and gives every single character their own shine and nuance. I feel like he’s even subtly changing his inflection with Haralds voice as he continues to grow in power and his “situation” festers.

Looking forward to the next book…as always. Such an engaging, exciting, and heart touching story. Phil’s ability to dive straight into the depths of human experience while churning out an adventurous Lit-RPG always fascinates me. Harold and the crew are keeping me on the edge of my seat.
