Loved this next installment in the series

It was great to get to hear Gunner and Maverick's story after them making appearances in the first 3 books. As always with Jillian West's books, this one is well written and the narrators did a fabulous job. This book has everything I want in a why choose OV novel and I'm sure I'll be rereading it again soon!

I really like this series but WHY didn’t the audio book include chapter 39?? That chapter is kind of a big deal!

missing chapter 39, but other than that Jillian West is still on of my favorite authors ♡ her stories hit all the right boxes in keeping it interesting, not too much drama, but also not super cozy/boring, she finds a good middle which i love.

The puppers and little one stole the show!

I breezed through this author's series of OV romances, loving all the interconnections between the characters and storylines. I appreciated this one, we had a little glimpse of this duo in previous books, especially with their puppers hehehe.

I liked Brooklyn and her daughter, so dang adorable! I appreciated how different the duo was but how fierce and loyal they were to Brooklyn and her little one. You had one broody and dark and mysterious and one super flirty/fun/banter centric. I liked the relationships built with her and with the overall harem. I felt so bad for her, with her horrible baby daddy and what he is involved in. How she was so fearful for her life and her loved ones. I was worried about her bestie and her sister, we get her sister's story up next (more yuuuum) and I am unsure of her bestie. Need to do some research on that one haha.

We get a surprise with her neighbor not being who we think he is hahaha. I didnt see it coming but enjoyed it nonetheless. I liked he was infallible either, he needed Mav and Gunner to come rescue him. Also I liked how the author weaves in these lovable and likable characters but there seems to always be one in the harem with a screw a little loose/eccentric/psychopath....like Grady earlier on in the series! I was appreciative of how Bliss and her lady helped the group stay safe and help take down her family. I was shocked with her development and need to see if they got a novella or something since we got an update to their HEA.

I thought the steam was good in this one, not my favorite of the series but was solid. I think for me some things jumped really quick but others felt right. I liked the bromance the guys quickly developed. I enjoyed the dog relationship and the pregnancy part of the storyline was done well. enjoyed the epilogues reveal and went right to listening to the next one in the series.

Narration was done well, I have no notes for our female narrator because she always does a phenomenal job with all her characters, voices, tones, inflections, etc. Now while I like this male narrator, he is not a strong with the opposite sex and makes them sound whiny. Also when doing little ones he doesnt sound as strong/good. I would give this narration 4/5 stars and the story was 4-4.5 stars so giving this overall a 4/5 stars rating.
