The fire started, and I never wanted it to go out…

Escaping with our lives and nothing more, Luka and I headed for the shelter, determined to rest before starting over tomorrow, creating a new life from scratch once again. Packed in the Fire House is the first book in the Fire House Omegas series and is in the same universe as the Pucking Pregnant and Pucking Alphas series. Although each book is a standalone, they should be listened to in order.

Just ok

Light on storyline, light on characters, just light.
Possible Spoilers:
Sunny Sanderson is just 21, an Omega raising a baby on her own after a sleezy Alpha took advantage of her heat to get her pregnant, verbally abused her, then harassed her. Then her building burned and she’s homeless. But the fireman who rescued her recognizes her scent match and the Landry Pack brings her back to their firehouse.
The narration was ok.

Amazing read and love the connected spinoff. Can't wait for book 2. One of the guys accent would change sometimes but it didn't take away from the character and the story.

Sweet, low angst OV

Overall super cute and sugary sweet OV romance. As with all OV books, you had to suspend disbelief at the rate of attraction/attachment, but I like the insta aspect to it and how transparent they all are with their feelings intentions. Plus I love me some accidental bonding and alphas taking care of a gentle, down on her luck single mom omega. The guys all have good, distinct personalities, the chemistry develops uniquely, and who doesn't love some yummy fire fighters!

My gripes were mostly the kid didn't feel to act his age (and I wish we had more authentic bonding with the kiddo moments vs the "he's just mine now" vibe), and the pace felt super slow in the middle, perhaps the end of book conflict could have popped up a bit more along the way. I also didn't love the attempting Cajun-ish accent in the audio performance. But i loved the rest of the audio- MH audios are always super consumable and easy listens, and this one definitely hit that mark. I wanted something super sweet, easy and low angst, and romance focused soley on the omega, and this one definitely scratched the itch.

Omegas and Alpha Firefighters, what's not to love?

Packed in the Fire House is definitely a little cliché, but honestly, I really enjoyed it anyway. Maybe it was the omega vibes mixed with the firefighter setup, but it made for a fun, easy read with just enough heat and comfort to keep me into it.
