Publisher's Summary

Ashley Rhodes-Courter spent a harrowing nine years of her life in 14 different foster homes. Her memoir, Three Little Words, captivated audiences everywhere and went on to become a New York Times best seller. Now Ashley reveals the nuances of life after foster care: college and its assorted hijinks, including meeting "the one". Marriage, which began with a beautiful wedding on a boat that was almost hijacked (literally) by some biological family members. Having kids - from fostering children and the heartbreak of watching them return to destructive environments, to the miraculous joy of blending biological and adopted offspring.

Whether she's overcoming self-image issues, responding to calls asking for her to run for Senate, or dealing with continuing drama from her biological family, Ashley Rhodes-Courter never fails to impress or inspire with her authentic voice and uplifting message of hope.

Excellent! The author reads this and does a marvelous job! Really gave me insight into the foster care system something I was woefully ignorant about!

I now feel educated on the Foster System

Thank you so much for sharing your story Ashley. Before listening to your book, I never thought twice about the foster care system. This book now makes me feel like I should be doing more to help. I will be recommending your book to everyone, so that hey also can be educated.

Amazing

She is truly amazing due to the cruel way she was treated. Lucky to have had the attitude to change things.

My review

This book I found very boring! Unlike her first memoir, I really liked that one. But this one just didn’t catch my interest at all. I don’t like any of it I wouldn’t really recommend this book to anybody but everybody’s tastes are different

This woman is incredible

I listened to both of her books back to back and I am floored at what this woman has been through and what she is now doing for the community. I applaud and appreciate her and her ability to speak out for those who are unable to do so themselves.

Too many precious kids don't have families

I listened to this book after reading her first one. I am moved to action. Ashley reveals the truth. Our foster system is not keeping precious children safe, it's not being the force to help them find a loving family. A system can't save lives. And lives are at risk right now. I am so glad I read this book.

An adoptive mom-thank you Ashley

My husband and I met Ashley at our first adoption conference back in 2017. Her story and success gave us hope for our own future. We hired a private adoption agency and now has four adopted children in our home. They are a sibling set. It has been very challenging as we all are adjusting to each other. I read both of her books just recently to help me remember the children’s side of the story. Thank you for your insight, boldness and honesty!

This woman is a hero.

Incredible!!! What an inspiration. This author will forever be my role model as a foster mom, adoptive mom, a woman, and as a human being. Every human should read these 2 books to gain some perspective.
