From YouTube’s Map Men comes a funny and fascinating journey into the maps that messed up: big time!

In their long-awaited debut, Mark Cooper-Jones and Jay Foreman (aka, the Map Men) bring their highly infectious enthusiasm for everything map-related to the printed page for the very first time, in a brilliantly entertaining and eye-catching tome.

Packed with humor and fascinating facts, the book takes a deep dive into the world’s most baffling and absurd map blunders. From past miscalculations to modern mishaps, each chapter uncovers a unique tale of cartographic chaos—and the people responsible for it.

Editorial Review

Can you really trust that map?
We may not use them nearly as much as we once did, but it’s impossible to deny the appeal of a good map—or even a bad one, for that matter. YouTubers Jay Foreman and Mark Cooper-Jones, a.k.a. the “Map Men,” are exploring the hilarious, chaotic, and at times outright awful world of cartography with their debut audiobook. Mixing comedy, geography, and history, This Way Up is a reminder that while maps aren’t always reliable, they’re always worth diving into. It’s also a celebration of the artistry and science of mapmaking, filled with fascinating facts and insights. —Michael C., Audible Editor

Hilarious reading of a hilarious and fascinating book. Even if you aren’t a map nerd but just like history, you’ll love this book.

I absolutely love the Map Men series online and so I bought this audiobook the moment I saw it published. It is wonderful to listen to Mark and Jay read their book! There’s also a tonne of studio chatter between the two kept in the audiobook. Very highly recommended!

Would have loved if they included some sort of space map, seems like that would be a thing and there would be lots of bad ones.

Funny and insightful!

I’m only halfway through, but have been enjoying this audiobook so much I already want to leave a five star review. If you are considering buying this audiobook, just do it. If you are not considering buying this audiobook, consider buying this audiobook.

Edit: just finished it and wish I could leave another 5 star review. This is one of, if not, the best audiobooks I have ever listened to.
