Doug spares no legally permissible detail, and his stories couldn't be told any other way. They're weird, uncomfortable, gross, disturbing, and fucking funny.

This Is Not Fame is by no means a story of overcoming a life of excess, immorality, and reckless buffoonery. It's an outright celebration of it. For Stanhope, the party goes on.

Chad shank is the best, his voice is pure mana from heaven. He does a female voice, loud shouting, and sales person inflection with ease. I really enjoyed this book thanks to him, and I know yoy will too.

Way better than I woulda thunk. The sidebar commentary and dialog bits are for the most part, really great. If you are a fan of Stanhope, this is a must.

Trust the awesomeness, just get it ! Bukowski and William S Burroughs had a baby and named it Doug Stanhope.

Worth it.

I’m sad it’s over. Made me laugh myself to tears several times and (just once) almost pee my pants. I will be looking up his other works.

Doug stanhope a wordsmith, what a guy!

so if you know who Doug Stanhope is you're going to love this book if you don't know who he is you better be cautious going into this it is not for the weak hearted or the new to Stanhope.

I mean it might be just cuz you don't know Stanhope doesn't mean you're not into gross extreme very violent very cursive kind of Comedy. as it happens I am, I thought the book was a masterpiece a work of art in fact he made me cry about a 29 year old thanks Doug.
