Acerca de esta escucha

Bobby Phillips is an average 15-year-old boy. Until the morning he wakes up and can't see himself in the mirror. Not blind, not dreaming, Bobby is just plain invisible. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to Bobby's new condition; even his dad the physicist can't figure it out. For Bobby that means no school, no friends, no life. He's a missing person. Then he meets Alicia. She's blind, and Bobby can't resist talking to her, trusting her. But people are starting to wonder where Bobby is. Bobby knows that his invisibility could have dangerous consequences for his family and that time is running out. He has to find out how to be seen again...before it's too late.©2002 Andrew Clements (P)2003 Random House, Inc. Reseñas de la Crítica

"The author spins a convincing and affecting story, giving Bobby's feeling of helplessness and his frustration with his parents an achingly real edge." (Publishers Weekly)

Lo que los oyentes dicen sobre Things Not Seen

Con calificación alta para:

The Book "things Not Seen" By Andrew Clements Explores The Intriguing Premise Of A Teenage Boy Who Becomes Invisible. Rather Than Indulging In Typical Fantasy Tropes, The Author Takes A Thoughtful And Realistic Approach To The Concept Of Invisibility And Its Implications. The Story Follows The Intelligent Protagonist, Bobby, As He And His Family Grapple With The Challenges And Moral Dilemmas Posed By His Extraordinary Condition. While Some Readers Found The Lack Of Fantasy Elements And Slower Pacing To Be Drawbacks, Many Praised Clements' Serious Treatment Of The Subject Matter And The Engaging Storyline That Delves Into Themes Of Family, Coming-of-age, And Navigating Extraordinary Circumstances With Maturity And Ethical Considerations.

Outta Sight!

If you could sum up Things Not Seen in three words, what would they be?

Engaging, Enjoyable, Electrifying

What did you like best about this story?

Loved the character development and seeing through the eyes of someone blind. I liked the comparisons of being blind and being invisible. Liked how the characters made interesting choices about their disabilities.
